Not his first few years. Kentucky stuck with him during tough times and let him build. Their patience has paid off.Mark Stoops has done a really solid job at Kentucky.
Really.. I hope they dont listen to any fan favorites and get a proven head coach!Zac Taylor is #1. Far and away. Almost no chance we can pull him right now, but if Trev has any sense he will reach out to Zac first.
Yes. He was 2-10, 5-7, 5-7 his first three years. Year 4 produced 7 wins and a bowl game. Now the streak is 5 straight bowl games and this year will be 6.Not his first few years. Kentucky stuck with him during tough times and let him build. Their patience has paid off.

It depends on how the rest of the season plays out. If we lose the rest of our games and end up 3-9, which is definitely a possibility, I don't see how he can come back.I fully expect Frost will be head coach next year along with some staff changes.
Trev is courting the Omaha crowd now, there is all kinds of money available from those guys. How is Nebraska's cash situation? Hiring someone like Fickell on top of paying Frost's buyout won't be inexpensive.
Lanning at Georgia is interesting. Grinch at Oklahoma has produced middling results with good defensive talent. Not sure he'd be a good fit.In No Order - Just google search them. Most of these people will be Power 5 Head Coaches this year if they want.
Oklahoma DC - Grinch
Georgia DC - Lanning
Toledo HC - Candle
Coastal Carolina HC - Chadwell
Charlotte HC - Healy
Lanning & Grinch are very interesting but I doubt Lanning comes up north. Grinch has Big Ten roots as an Ohio State assistant.
Chadwell, will stay in the southeast, IMO.
Healy might have to go to the MAC or Mountain West first but he is a name that has a turned around program as a good recruiter too. He is very young.
If Scott's head rolls, which I doubt, Hugh Freeze I think would be an effective head coach.
93 - 39 if you include the 27 wins vacated by the NCAA for violations his assistants committed.
He's was 39 - 25 at Ole Miss including a win over Alabama.
Post Ole Miss he is 23 - 7 at Liberty.

Yeah I doubt it. I think he can win 2 more. It would not surprise me if he did not, but it's definitely possible. Wisconsin and Purdue seem the most likely right? You doubt Frost is fired?

You should have ended with the first nine words.I'm going to remain quite on this message board about if Frost should be fired or not if he doesn't win more games the rest of this season. I'll just piss people off on either side anyways. Trev might have a difficult choice coming up.
Sadly, I do too.I fully expect Frost will be head coach next year along with some staff changes.
From top 10 to unranked in 5 weeks
No thanks. Matt campbell is trash
Well...Freeze was fired for calling escorts using a university cell phone I think. Morals clause violation in his contract w the university. What Hugh Freeze got in trouble for is legal now, so he really should be in consideration. Tough to argue his results.
he improved them from 112th to 28th last year.Lanning at Georgia is interesting. Grinch at Oklahoma has produced middling results with good defensive talent. Not sure he'd be a good fit.
Thank goodness. Gus Mahlzan has a better record and I think would do better recruiting here and his style of offense I think a ton of people would like to see here.Campbell has beaten 9 ranked teams at ISU with mostly 2 and 3 star recruits, and won the regular season Big 12 last year. He would do well here. I don't think he would even consider coming here, though.
We run the ball more than UCF. Or even Gus' best team at Auburn with Cam Newton at QB.Thank goodness. Gus Mahlzan has a better record and I think would do better recruiting here and his style of offense I think a ton of people would like to see here.

Iowa and OSU look almost impossible after today.
I didn't say anything about run to pass ratio however, I think his offense would do well. No huddle and power run sounds good to me. You can do some great play action off power. He does run the ball.We run the ball more than UCF. Or even Gus' best team at Auburn with Cam Newton at QB.
Are you saying a ton of people would enjoy us throwing the ball more?
Where are you at on whether we should keep Frost if he has another losing season? That still wouldn’t even get us to a Bowl. Not sure where Trev stands with this, but it’s hard to see keeping him with another losing season.
We currently run almost the exact same offense that Malzhan runs.I didn't say anything about run to pass ratio however, I think his offense would do well. No huddle and power run sounds good to me. You can do some great play action off power. He does run the ball.
UCF seemed to have had the most pass happy coach since Leach and I assume that is possibly why Gus throws the ball more than us at UCF right now. Just a thought.
I’m a big Dave Aranda fan after seeing what he’s been able to do at Baylor.Where are you at on whether we should keep Frost if he has another losing season?
Trev seems to have bought in to what Frost is selling. I think we could lose out and he’d still get another year.
Definitely not.Did you get Anitriwboat guys approval on this post?
