You have to at least ask Fickell and Campbell first.

After they say no...Dave Aranda, Jamey Chadwell, or Dan Lanning.

Let's start by eliminating all coaches who run from the shotgun on 3rd or 4th and less than a yard.
I had Hope earlier in the year (can’t remember which game, maybe Buffalo?), where AM actually ran 1-2 QB sneaks from under center. Thought Frost had shown growth. My bad, you can’t fix stupid.

I do not believe Nebraska will get a current power five head football coach who has a winning record to come here and be our next head coach. Those days are over. We will have to take a gamble and hope it works out.

I would like Jamie Chadwell, but I think he will get a power five job in the southeast this year.

I'd be ok with urban or gruden too!
Urban is in year 1 of a massive rebuild in Jacksonville. He isn't leaving for a college job. Even if they are willing to hire Gruden, he is unqualified at the collegiate level. I'd prefer someone who has won in college.

From top 10 to unranked in 5 weeks

No thanks. Matt campbell is trash
That is what you are going off of? The whole reason they were ranked in top 10 is a huge credit to Matt Campbell who has made Iowa State a regular winner. Other than his first year he has had winning seasons every year. At Nebraska he could do even better. Unless there is some big name coach who wants the Nebraska job that we don't know about, Campbell has to be the first person you ask.

How is Nebraska's cash situation? Hiring someone like Fickell on top of paying Frost's buyout won't be inexpensive.

Good chance he gets fired this year. Plus I've always kind of gotten the impression that he liked Nebraska and would have interest in coaching here given the right circumstances.

Yet again we must rebuild, spray bleach all over the facilities. Follow Frost to the bank and rob his ***

I have no idea who our next coach will be or should be. I will trust Trev to hire somebody who can turn this around. There is no way Urban comes here. No way.

When someone mentioned firing Frost and giving Chinander a tryout earlier this season, it sounded ridiculous. But it doesn’t sound like such a bad idea to me now. But the extra $5 million that we would owe Frost if he’s fired before the end of the season probably means that it is not an option.

It will get really expensive to keep losing and seeing half empty stadiums.

Nebraska has really good fans. It will take quite a while until your stadium looks like that of the Canes.

If Scott's head rolls, which I doubt, Hugh Freeze I think would be an effective head coach.

93 - 39 if you include the 27 wins vacated by the NCAA for violations his assistants committed.

He's was 39 - 25 at Ole Miss including a win over Alabama.

Post Ole Miss he is 23 - 7 at Liberty.

My Top Three would be:
1) Tommie Frazier
2) Lawrence Phillips
3) Christian/Jason Peter (co-head coaches)

Any of of those guys would understand that you have to have 120 walk-ons and play Sirius for the tunnel walk.

Urban, Fickell, or Campbell should be our top choices. Next tier would be Bill O'brien, Joe Brady, Dave Aranda, Tom Herman. If you lose out on all of those guys, then Malzahn, Chadwell, Leipold, or Kleiman would be next on the list. All of these guys are much better coaches than Frost, and I'd be happy with any one of them.

What Hugh Freeze got in trouble for is legal now, so he really should be in consideration. Tough to argue his results.
