Same for me with Oregon lol thanks NCAA Football game. I still like the team and want to cheer for them, but Eugene and Western Oregon is just such a cesspool these days. Easier for me to root for Texas A&M or a place like that. I don't just root for teams, but also local cultures if possible together.Texas Tech - My wife is from Lubbock, and I lived down there for a short time. "Guns Up!!"
Ole Miss - I'm on the Lane train. Also, I lived in Mississippi briefly.
Oregon - I was a bigger fan of Oregon than any other team for a long time (even Nebraska). That began in the Joey Harrington years, and was largely due to the NCAA football game, Oregon was my team.
Florida St. - I started liking them when I was young. I don't know what drew me to the Noles.
Did you used to post under a different screen name?Went to grad school in Arkansas for a couple of years so it made me actually really enjoy watching the Razorbacks lately.
My grandfather went to Montana so I always root for them. My neighbor went to Montana too. Some of the local kids play for them. Need to go to one of their games sometime. Missoula is a real cool town. They have a nice smaller stadium built by their billionaire alum Denny Washington. My younger brother is a Husky grad. We had 4 season tickets for 20 plus years. Never bothers me either way if they win or lose. I always wore Husker gear when I went to their games. We became friends with the season ticket holders who sat by us. They were great. I have lived in Eastern Washington now for 21 years and most of my friends here are Washington State grads. The Cougs were fun to watch under Leach. Not so much now under the new guy. I don't think he will last.Do you all generally root for other than our Huskers? Somebody regionally familiar? Trendy? The team that has who could possibly become our next head coach?
I hate the B1G and struggle to even root for another team within the conference. Didn't have this problem in the Big 12. Mutual respect kinda thing. I hate the boring style of play, the incompetent (or corrupt) refs, and the elitists in leadership. Makes it hard to root for my one true team, who struggles enough on their own making it hard to remain engaged with them.
So who else do you root for on Saturdays?
Nope, I've been using this name since high schoolDid you used to post under a different screen name?
Wyoming. CSU. Oddly I've developed some affection for Beavers...... and oh, yeah the Harvard Crimson.Do you all generally root for other than our Huskers? Somebody regionally familiar? Trendy? The team that has who could possibly become our next head coach?

Much like Nebraska, ND hears often how well they treat visiting fans.
I was at a Husker game and saw two of your brethren screaming at a women and her young son, simply for being from a visiting team. They kept screaming FVK U FVK U. She asked why they were doing that to her and her son. They said “ because we can”.
Should she, her son and I generalize all Husker fans as trash?
I was a CSU season-ticket holder for 10 years, but I also developed a soft spot for the Rams' rivals in Laramie. Going to a Wyoming home game gave me an idea of what Memorial Stadium was like before all the expansion. Great atmosphere.Wyoming. CSU. I just love the mountains especially in Wyoming and Colorado so I'm a sucker for mountain based teams....other than CU. I kind of root for the Montana schools too but they're never on TV.I was a CSU season-ticket holder for 10 years, but I also developed a soft spot for the Rams' rivals in Laramie. I'll either be driving the 3 hours to or from Lincoln or in Memorial Stadium on Saturday.I believe the Eastern WA - Montana game is on ESPN2 on Saturday. Both teams are undefeated. If they show the game, wear your sunglasses! Eastern plays on a bright red field they call "The Inferno."
