It is a classic misdirection with the linemen. LB's will often read the pulling linemen and follow them to the play. In this case, blocking someone was apparently not the primary goal. Getting the D to bite hard to the inside was.Looks to me like #69 should have at least chipped #95 as he's pulling. If the ball doesn't get pulled back from #14, then that play goes nowhere.
in fact, #69 blocks nobody on that play.

This ^^^^^Don't care what number he wears, he needs to be playing.
I know he's gone but MO was the difference maker. This play can be 6 with a guy like that. Problem I've seen is the offense is predicated on having game changers at wr and rb and when you don't have them you get sub 30 ppg.....or worse.Allen and Vokolek sustaining blocks on the edge was beautiful.
I’ve seen Manning do some good work outside also. Need to keep getting the ball in space…. but not resort back to the predictable sideline screens where WR’s couldn’t block.
The QB plays a huge role also getting balls delivered on time and in stride.I know he's gone but MO was the difference maker. This play can be 6 with a guy like that.
