The transfer portal will give back some of what the early signing period takes away during a coaching transition.
Seems like they aren't even trying.
They know they are likely not back after the season and there are many signs that point to it.
Like it or not it's a fact of life and we supposedly only have 3-4 spots left. All of the guys who stuck around have created a little bit of a backup of players with an extra year of eligibility. I don't know what's going on behind the scenes but my sense is that we're not going to take guys just to take guys to fill the class. There will be a lot of talent left this year after the early signing date and even more in the portal later. The only positions I was worried about getting guys at were DB and QB this cycle. It would be nice to get another OT to develop but I don't want to reach just to get one. I'm more worried about winning games over the next few weeks.
My interpretation of some veiled Frost comments:
