Sorry, but like it or not politics is being brought onto college campuses in a nasty way. To say it's not a factor in decision making is not realistic.
As a 17 year old in 71 I used to attend anti-war rallies at Omaha University with a couple of friends, just to be picked up by hippies chicks who were two to three years older than us. I gave not one thin $h!t about Viet Nam or the war. I just wanted someone of legal age to buy some beer and maybe dialogue some domestic relations......
So politics being brought onto college campus' is nuttin' new to me. To be clear, I was addressing the same old list of derps who cling to the side of the toilet for days or weeks, refusing to wash away and just waiting to bring politics into a SPORTS (not college campus) board. Apologize if too graphic, but not really.

I lived in Columbia for over 3 years. I can assure you that racism is alive and well in that town and state. As a small town white kid from rural Nebraska who did his undergrad work in Lincoln, I was shocked at the ubiquitous racism on their campus.
