Beat em at home and put up more points than we could in the process. UofI sucks and we suck even worse.

Sitkowski somehow looking not so godlike chucking his hail mary out of the field of play.

Mighty UTSA takes down Illinois! Never heard of UTSA lol
UT-SA has been around for a long time. Second year head coach Jeff Traylor is a name some people will recgonize. One name some on this board would remember on their roster is Trumane Bell II. His dad played for Nebraska. They've got some P5 level talent on their roster just due to their location in San Antonio. They had a first round pick in 2018. Who was the last first rounder NU had?

Their football team was created about 10 years ago, a few years after South Alabama.

Wow, two Power 5 teams lost to FCS teams tonight. Washington lost to Montana, and Vanderbilt lost to ETSU. And Ok St barely beat Missouri St.
Like I said. Any given Saturday.
And yeah , NU beat Fordham today as they should have. But rather than enjoy it people gotta ***** because the team NU played a week ago lost. Find some joy in your lives folks. Even if only for a day.

There is no joy in this program.

Then don't pay any attention to it. Man I've read a couple of your posts tonight and the venom you're spitting isn't good for you. If it upsets you that much maybe it's time to take a break from Husker football. Been there, done that.

Well it feels good to me and I feel better about myself. Why? Because I am an alum, a fan, and NOT a homer. I am realistic when it comes to football. And from what I have seen, the program is crap. The coach is crap. His assistants are crap. And the national pundits who get paid big bucks to cover it, agree with me. You are probably right, though. However it doesn't upset me at all. I am numb to it and get my kicks spewing venom when I am intoxicated. I gave up on this program a long time ago, because I see the light. I do still have hope.
If you had any insight about what is going on behind the scenes, you might see the light as well. Nothing wrong with being a homer, but don't rip on my *** for exercising my freedom of speech.

I was worried about the Illinios game and I'm even more worried about the Buffalo game. Pitch forks will be out by halftime next week. If I were any part of our team, I would start working tonight, but we all know that's not gonna happen. They are probably all partying like they won a NC. I'll enjoy this win. There are no gimme games left. Does your kool-aid taste sour yet?
It was so sour after the hype going in to last season, that I quit drinking it.

Possible, but we win at least one more, maybe as many as three more. Buffalo, Northwestern and Purdue are in play. The rest? Any one would be a huge upset.
My thoughts exactly. We have a decent chance in those three games.

The other 7 remaining games I’d put our chances of winning around 25% or less

Northwestern is probably not in play.

They're always disciplined.

They will take care of the ball, punt a whole bunch of times, and wait for AM/the offense /special teams to implode.

And it will happen.

As bad as the Big Ten West is, I guess it's not the worst division in Power 5 college football:

for a nice research & recruiting footprint down south.
now just ku and nd....

it would be nice if okie state could become aau

Until recently UTSA was a glorified junior college and commuter school. My father-in-law taught there back in the 1980's. They've only been playing football for 12 years. There is no way to spin the Illinois loss as a positive.

It was a positive for UTSA. There in a talent rich area of the country and they've had a first round draft pick more recently than NU. This was a good win for them. Nobody has spun the Illinois loss that I've seen. Illinois is not a great team and they laid an egg against UTSA just as we laid an egg against the Illini.

I’ve seen spin but not a ton of it. Look through last night’s posts.

I don't put much stock in them losing last night. I think they we're sky high last week and hadn't come down. BB owns NU and we beat ourselves as much as they did.

Colorado didn’t do very well after their new coach exposed Frost the first two years. But if I remember correctly, Frost didn’t do worth a sh*t afterwards either.

Neb should have won both of those games against CU. Two of several opportunities lost.

Knowing that our staff struggled to adjust to Illinois's even front, do you think we'd beat Illinois if we played them again this season?

Rock bottom keeps digging, nebraska fans having to defend UTSA to justify their loss to Illinois

Frost wouldn’t be on the hot seat if he won all the games he shoula…
A good coach over the past 3 seasons has at least 8 more wins IMO. Colorado X 2, NW in 2019 when we were up by 2 scores and had the ball with about 4 minutes left on the clock, Illinois this year, at least one of the Iowa games. It didn’t have to be this bad.

Every game is different. This doesn't mean UTSA is better than Nebraska. Take a chill pill. Toughen up.
