I don’t think he needs to make that promise ..He already knows what he needs to do.."Trev, we will buy these tickets to continue the sell out streak if you promise to fire Scott Frost."
Will that help stop the same mistakes that we see on game day over and over again.
They should be related. It won't hurt. The two things aren't related. Rooting for the streak to end is moronic.
They should be related.
Why change if people keep showing up with the $ supporting no matter what? No one wants the sellout strike to end but you would think they should be related, the more we suck the worse the attendance should be.Why? Husker Nation supports the Huskers. Weird that you don't agree.
Why change if people keep showing up with the $ supporting no matter what?
Same goes with donors, why keep showing up with the $ when this staff is terrible. At some point people just don't want to waste a whole day or more for a footabll game where we look like drunken keystone cops. You don't think the AD knows how fans feel? By your reasoning Callahan or Riley would still be here because the fans kept showing up. The big money donors do the talking on those kind of big moves. The sellout streak just demonstrates what an amazing fan base we have and is a recruiting tool.
This is a really great point. I don’t get why some people are so offended at the streak. If the tickets are sold, the streak remains. Plenty of other stuff to ***** about.I will never understand the resentment and blowback from Husker fans over the sellout streak. To me it really is a remarkable achievement. Nebraska fans show up and spend their hand earned money to support this program even when we suck. Compare that to some other teams in this conference that despite claiming to be elite can't even get 45,000 people to show up.
How the hell would you know? But how much were the 2,400 tickets sold for? Was it the list price of $73? I doubt it. I'm sure it was a very steep discount in order to keep the streak alive. Not that there is anything wrong with that just that it is not a sell out of years gone by.
It’s a Make-A-Wish sellout streak at this point.
Bingo. It was cool when it was a symbol for the zealous fandom that UNL had, but the fair weather seems to have moved out of Lincoln. It is no longer a symbol for a rabid fan base. It is a symbol for offloading heavily discounted seats to keep a stadium sign relevant.Yeah the sellout streak shows how rabid the fan base is. The fact that it has survived due to a large booster buying up seats just to keep the streak going makes it look like the streak is the only thing this program has going for it anymore. I mean you don't hear Alabama, or Ohio State touting sellouts.
To me it's like a father buying all the cookies from his daughter to make her look like a better salesman. Those cookies might be disgusting, but he can't let her fail.
