Probably depends on whether or not he beat Buffalo or how bad the beat down in Norman is.

I would fire him now, but that's why I'm not the AD. You have to think about the program's attractiveness to prospective coaches. Then again, Nebraska has so much money to throw at a guy, he probably doesn't care. No one accepts a job thinking they are going to fail at it. Most head coaches have the confidence to think they will succeed where others have failed. Except for Riley. He was just looking for a paycheck before retirement.

I'd just fire him on Sunday and promote the defensive coordinator as the interim head coach to finish out the season.

No point in keeping the guy around anymore.

It's year 4 of no improvement anywhere. In fact, the program got WORSE from year to to today.

It's puzzling Frost never got this program to play good football after all of the success he had elsewhere but I think we all know the reason why he had that good season at UCF - Milton.

If he really loves his alma mater he should step down at a negotiated lower buyout.

Probably better to happen sooner than later. More time to implement a new plan of action before recruiting season ends.

Someone needs to line up a legitimate QB for 2022..... that's hard to do in a matter of weeks when everyone else is signed already. New coach and new QB.... needed ASAP.

I really don’t think Frost getting fired or stepping down is an absolute by any means. The reality is, he doesn’t have a good starting QB. His offense lives and dies on having a McKenzie Milton type QB. AM has been a huge disappointment to everybody including the coaching staff. Let’s say the pressure is so great that he actually puts in Haarberg or Smothers, they surprise and get us to 5-6 wins. IMO, Frost stays. If he gets a good QB, I think we have a consistent 7-8 win team in the BigTen and bowl games. I think in that case Frost keeps his job and stays as long as he wants.

1. You are delusional…Frost sucks *** with our without a QB. 2. We moving goal post now? 7-8 wins at the Fraud keeps his for however long he wants while bar hopping Lincoln? No.

Fact is, Frost is a terrible HC. He doesn’t have the luxury here that he did at UCF with nobody wanting to play defense. Every Saturday he now faces athletes and opposing coaches that are making him look little league.

Being fired for cause takes something really egregious like being caught with an underage prostitute. Minor NCAA infractions about practice time are not it. Frost would have 20 million reasons to fight any attempt to block the buying out of his contract. The NCAA infraction might be used as a negotiating tool to lower the buyout by a little bit, but that's it. Either way, Frost is going to make hellajack for not working, like the many other failed coaches on Nebraska's welfare train.

Frost will be fired, but any day that passes after the sun goes down tonight is a day too long on the job. In the business world when you know you are going to fire someone, it's best just to do it right away.

We have a recruiting class ranked last in the Big Ten and everybody with a functional brain cell knows Frost is gone with a 4th straight losing season.

There's no point in waiting.

I’ll avoid the obvious focus on Adrian’s play….
For me the total deal breaker was the punt return safety.
After giving up two 4th down fake punt runs in 2020 (including IL), and all the off season talk of focusing on special teams, we saw complete ineptitude in all ST phases today.
I’ll even let coach off the hook for missing 2 extra pts and maybe the sh*tty punting (not coach kicking)…
But your captain fielding the punt for a safety should NEVER EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTSNCE WHATSOEVER EVER HAPPEN!!
NEVER!!!!
That’s a coach high on bath salts allowing that play to happen.

I never said Scott was a good coach. He’s not. I do think if he has the right QB he can win 7-8 games—most likely his ceiling in the BigTen. This isn’t the Osborne years anymore. NU will never be able to recruit athletes like Ohio St, Penn St, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Just being realistic here.

I’m thinking about damage control and for the sake of all involved, it really seems best for Alberts to make the move now. The quick decision will garner more respect than watching the slow motion trainwreck that is about to unfold, and the players are already going to be in jump from the ship mode regardless.

Focus on moving forward and the mess of this year will be under the pretext of hitting the reset button. It also minimizes media attack on the program being an absolute clown show.
New AD comes and realizes this aint gonna cut it.

You sure about that?

JD Spielman fair caught a punt on the two yard line on at least one occasion here under this regime.

I’ll take after the loss to Purdue at home…
I really think there will come a time when Scott pulls the trigger on himself and resigns. He will get his money and leave. It is obvious he isn't enjoying all the losing. I don't think this is great for his health. Maybe he can go to a small school like Frank did and resurrect his career.

Why is Cam returning punts in the first place? Because he's a starter and it is owed to him? It certainly isn't because he has shown sound judgment and skill to do the job. This isn't a Cam problem. It is a Scott Frost problem as he continues allow Cam to return punts.
