They were already on double-secret probation. I like the decisive action taken by the UNL leadership. Glad the house got the boot while the investigation is ongoing.

And IF after the investigation they find there was no foul play?

Well when you have a reputation and a bad history. No surprise the 2 already sticking up for them.

In most cases, doesn't fraternity pretty much represent 'probable cause'. It's been going on since they were started. I went to school in the early 80's and it was going on then. Not sure why any school allows them. They do some good but nothing close to the negatives that happen. I know some people disagree but that's my history.

Oh snap, you're going to get @TheBeav815 all uppity over this.

I'd say your perception isn't reality and I believe there are numerous stats that show people in panhellenic organizations are great contributors to society.

But then you do have these:

I have no problem suspending all activities and shutting them down during an investigation. If they are on probation currently they lose any benefit of the doubt.

Tough deal all the way around. Fiji has had its share of trouble, going back to the 90s when I was down there.

I do know many Fijis that are great guys, too bad as one (or a few) bad apples can spoil the bunch.

several governors, members of Board of Regents, former publisher of WH, Johnny Carson, Pat Fisher, as starters. This is an old NU fraternity with many prominent members. The very few bad apples shouldn't be considered as representative.

UNL Fiji is up there with Sig Ep, and Beta as having "**** you" money, like someone said earlier they have some very prominent alumni. They may lose their charter but they will write some checks and be back in a couple years and no one at the university will bat an eye.
