Another travel roster departure. I hope he finds a good college home to complete his degree for free. I kind of liked what I saw from him on a couple of plays in the spring game.Looks like our recruiting class for this year can get larger.
The sad part for me is when a kid gives up as a sophomore. I hope he finds a spot where he can get his school paid for and have a nice life. Screw football. Just find some success in a career and life. Not a huge loss when a non-contributor moves on, but it is a reminder of how there have been some real reach offers to guys they were hoping would turn into OLBs.
It's too bad there isn't as much out there in the transfer portal in the proven pass rusher department. Those dudes are rare and NU just hasn't been able to win recruiting battles to get the Micah Parsons of the world.
Completely agree, too many people quit on the opportunity in front of them, I never want to kill anyone’s dreams but you have to wonder what’s going on in someone’s head when you give up the education part of the scholarship without even having a plan, assuming he doesn’t since he was opening back up his recruiting, but to just quit and hope to find another place to play and set yourself back further on your degree is a dumb strategy IMO. Hopefully it works out for him.The sad part for me is when a kid gives up as a sophomore. I hope he finds a spot where he can get his school paid for and have a nice life. Screw football. Yeah most 18 year old dudes are not real dialed into how to best set themselves up to be successful at age 45 and beyond. These kids are coming to NU with dreams of playing in the NFL. And after two years of not playing they take their ball and go home. They are not here for the free education and could care less about finding a good job. I would love to see how many transfer portal guys ever graduate.
