I will bet you that OSU, TTU, TCU, Baylor, KU, KSU, and ISU don't end up in either ACC, Pac12, or BIG (herein defined as APB conferences). In addition, no current member of Pac12, ACC, and BIG will have left for another conference before/during a little irate 8 school would join such APB conference. For example, if North Carolina, Virginia, Florida State, Clemson, leave for the BIG and SEC and a little irate 8 schools thereafter joins the ACC, this does not count towards a winning bet. Same goes for Pac12, if for example, USC, Stanford, Oregon, Washington, were to leave for the BIG, than any irate 8 joining Pac12 does not constitute a winning bet.

Athletics & academics are far superior to Neb right now, so your statement doesn’t hold water…..but good luck in football with what appears to be a lame duck coach being undermined by his AD.

That's actually false. We have been rated in the Top 10 a few times during the season since 2010, but did not finish there. Preseason doesn't mean **** dude. ISU has a nice program right now, but let's also see where you finish and if you can actually beat Iowa.

Rice would be better for the B1G than ISU imo. Last I checked these conferences are athletic conferences. Rice is AAU and it could help open up Texas recruiting a bit more. Can't imagine the state of Texas would mind having another one of their programs in a major conference either.

Let them join Houston and other members of the AAC. I Guess I still have a love for the old Big 8 and don't care about the Texas schools especially Baylor.

Sustainability. Matt Campbell is legit and I have no doubt he will have ISU playing at a high level as long as he is there. The question is how long will he stay there? Obviously he’s turned down other programs, which bodes well for ISU. But I do still question if he will spend an entire career in Ames. Replacing him will be a highly difficult thing as we Huskers can attest to over the past 20 years.

Their engineering and veterinary programs and research dollars work. Their membership in the AAU works. Sports is only a small part of the picture and they have had a good basketball program. I bear no ill will toward ISU. I’ve never really had a problem with them.

That said, while agree that academics they are a good fit, and yes in some regards may be a nice fit with athletics as well, they don’t move the revenue needle. If fact they would dilute payouts. From a strictly business perspective I have a hard time seeing anyone not named ND in the BIG and that’s not happening.

I think an agreement between the BIG, PAC and ACC bring more athletic leverage for potential revenue than adding KU and ISU. I could be wrong. The statement released yesterday said they are trying to maintain college football and the Power 5, which could be an indication of including the remaining Big 12 members in some fashion. But, if it’s about money, I don’t see how it works out.

KSU to the Pac 12 makes little sense. I could see the Pac 12 wanting any number of Texas schools even if they aren't high-profile. A conference with both Texas and California would have major recruiting advantages. I don't think it would be Baylor, TT, or TCU but Houston they would go after first, but they would likely add a couple more. Also they would gain the central time zone to add needed viewership exposure.
KSU is unfortunately the worst off of every Big 12 team in seeking a new home. They are in a small market and are non-AAU. Likely they will end up in the Mountain West.

NOTHING about what has gone on with conferences makes ANY sense. Well maybe $$$$ but the non-geographical make up now of the conferences where air travel is a necessity every week for football and basketball games in these days of a planet ready to burst in to flames is nonsensical. KSU fits just as much as CU and Utah do in the Pac12. Personally if we're going to go hog wild expanding the B1G I would rather see the Kitties in the B1G but that's just nostalgia on my part. Who cares really. NU just needs to win games.
