Really cool. I know that some will disagree, and I absolutely could be wrong, but things feel different this year.

Maybe I think that every year and just don’t remember how it felt the previous year…

Everyone who starts should get a black shirt.
from Hail Varsity:

Three players from the secondary received Blackshirts—Taylor-Britt, Deontai Williams and Marquel Dismuke—which means the battle for the corner spot opposite of Taylor-Britt rages on.

On the defensive line, Damion Daniels said he received a jersey, as well as Ben Stille, Ty Robinson and Deontre Thomas.

At linebacker, JoJo Domann, Nick Henrich, Luke Reimer, Garrett Nelson and Caleb Tannor received the jerseys.

And that's actually the original tradition which I fully agree with. There's always a first team which is the original purpose of a blackshirt.

I find it interesting that Fisher did not yet want to identify who the 4th DB starter was going to be even though it's game week.

Maybe the CBs and Kolarevic haven’t “proven” themselves enough yet.
No Payne, but a Nelson/Tannor. Will be interesting to watch what transpires there.

Shocked Nelson got one and not Payne. Now lower expectations for any type of edge pass rushing threat to super low again. I was hoping Payne would be good.

Maybe Payne is not starting because he's a pass rusher and they're not expecting IL to pass so he's not starting?

his ranch is in eastern washington (a bleak, desolate ********), not Montana (God's country)

there's a huge difference (think Omaha vs counciltucky)
Never been to eastern Wa. Is it really that bad?

Just looked it up and his ranch is Special K ranch. Isn't that a cereal?

And yes, Montana is God's Country.
