It is not just Facebook... they monopolize the social media world. Instagram, Whatsapp, Messenger, Snapchat, and others. They control what is being said and written about. If you thought Ma Bell controlled things, Facebook makes them look like chump change
Hell even the Taliban called out social media. That's about as low as you can get since they're still on it

Facebook nor any other of the huge social media platforms are going away. BUT I do think change is inevitable and their monopolistic and censorship powers will be broken up, regulated or both. They've become communication utilities and their sheer size now has essentially become a monopoly that cannot be overcome by competition.
Perhaps they will form their own political party and start running for office. Seems like the next logical step to insulate themselves.

Facebook has become this quasi network of business and personal. Some folks just like to be tourists in other people's lives. Others just love self-promotion and selfie taking. It's amazing how it reveals who people really are. I've blocked 90% of my 'friends' but I do like to see what a few people are up to and I love the forums that I'm part of.Lol. Amen. Never joined. I will admit to trying it once, under duress though. Was dating an ex stripper bi sexual firefighter who lived on it and she insisted the messenger feature would be good for us. She was wrong....and neither are in my life any longer.
I thought facebook already went away? Oh yeah, im just in Zuckerberg county lockup all the time and cant post or comment lol. Hell I was in facebook jail about 8 days into a 30 day sentence and they added another 30 days due to a post I posted a few months before that.

It needs to be broken up. Facebook is effectively a monopoly and it has a detrimental affect on the ability of startups to get off the ground to compete, as well as having outsized influence in the social network space - which they now abuse for political purposes.
I always knew there was a large % of defective people. What I didn't know, was the level of narcissism in those losers.
I loved Facebook at first, was able to stalk old girlfriends with ease....
