I just want to have one or two dudes. You know, the guy who they talk about on ESPN. The guy who makes the play when the game is on the line. The guy who makes you say, "holy ****, he did it again!" It'd be nice if it was a QB.

It's been awhile since we had a dude.

Scott Frost has been talked about quite a bit in the last day or two. That count?

Big Ten kicks off the College Football season with Illinois hosting Nebraska on ESPN in Week 0.

Great to hear for the Big Ten. Bret Bielema (0-0 at Illinois) vs. Scott Frost (12-20 at Nebraska) makes for an interesting match up.

It should be a good game.

"I like where we are at right now from a focus standpoint," OC Matt Lubick said. "It has been a long camp and a good camp. A lot of improvement. Our guys are excited to play an opponent. Getting ready for that opponent and starting to do some scout looks. Our guys are really excited and energetic about that instead of going against ourselves every day. But really fired up about how our guys have prepared all camp. We are a much improved team but we still have some work to do."

Nick Bahe podcast was talking defense today regarding Nebraska
  • The 2011 Huskers defense gave up 48 points in Madison. Illinois isn't Wisconsin.
  • At home, Nebraska beat Bret Bielema in Lincoln 30-27
  • Title game, Wisconsin won 70-31. Of course, Illinois isn't Wisconsin
However, how good were the 2011 and 2012 defenses in Nebraska's first 2 years in the Big Ten?

I do agree with NIck, like last year, we will likely see some close games again.

5-12 is the record since 2018 in one possession games for Scott Frost, Nebraska.

You tell me, your program has plenty of experience with negative press.

That would explain why Iowa fans think they are important. The biggest racist scandal in CFB history did have people talking about them. Can't deny that.

Wasn't the 2015 issues at Missouri more significant?

What about the University of Minnesota's bad history towards black players on opposing teams.
  • How and why is Iowa State University named after Jack Trice?
  • What is the story around the Floyd of Rosedale and the racial issues the Minnesota team had the previous year against Iowa RB Ozzie Simmons

What about Oklahoma State?

The Johnny Bright incident was a violent on-field assault against African-American player Johnny Bright by a white opposing player during an American college football game held on October 20, 1951, in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Let's not forget what happened to Wyoming in a game scheduled with BYU.

Let's not forget about segregation in the south that impacted College Football. Got to love the game Sam Bam Cunningham had for USC to help end segregation on the gridiron.

Black students at Alabama had to breakdown the barriers of segregation, with help from USC and Bear Bryant getting beat.

The historically black colleges of the South had some fine coaches and players, until the game that changed much of it.

Another good documentary covered a couple Big Ten players.

So you went back 80+ years to find incidents that make you feel better about what you support/ignore? Cool.

This is why I have hope. Have we improved just enough to make up that small amount that we've been losing by

Except, Chris Doyle wasn't biggest scandal. Doyle was out. He wasn't let back in Jacksonville (NFL) either.

It is interesting to see where two Top S&C coaches from 2019, at Alabama and Iowa, are today.

Except is was and it was and it wasn't just Doyle, even though he was the sacrificial lamb. But feel free to burry your head in the sand and carry on with your "analysis".
