2016 what was Oregon ranked at seasons end.Laughing They were 4-8. Howdy Doody didn’t beat anyone in the top 25 that year..2015 - riley was 1-1 vs top 25 teams (both top 10)
2016 - riley was 1-3 vs top 25 teams (0-1 vs top 10)
2017 - riley was 0-3 vs top 25 teams (all 3 top 10)
2021 - 4 pre-season top 25 teams on the schedule (2 top 10)
they all look pretty similar to me
it'll be the same thing this year with our 'difficult' schedule2016 what was Oregon ranked at seasons end.Laughing They were 4-8. Howdy Doody didn’t beat anyone in the top 25 that year..
His only win that was credible was in 2015 when upsetting Sparty..
In my best @cidsports voice -
- OLine is not as good as perceived
- Defense is better, will play better against teams like Northwestern, Iowa and Wisconsin than they will OU and
OSU because of style of play as much as talent level.
- Injury prone QB is always a concern
- schedule is not as brutal as people make it out to be. Ohio St and Oklahoma are the only elite teams on the
schedule.
- I'll optimistically go with 7-5
WhatChris Klieman is 2-0 against Lincoln Riley, despite 8-5 and 4-6 seasons.
2016 - L to Houston (neutral) and L to Ohio State in Norman
2017 - Matt Campbell won his first trip to Norman
2018 - Texas won in RRR game
2019 - lost in Manhattan, as mentioned
2020 - lost in Norman coming off opening game win against Missouri State to a 4-6 team
At Tulane, then Western Carolina, and finally Nebraska.
Road trip at Illinois, then Fordham and then onto Norman
Scott Frost isn't Matt Campbell or Chris Klieman?
11 am start. OU is pissed.
Who cares.Did Riley‘s 3 seasons have tougher schedules than this one..
I Don’t Think So..
No idea what the **** you are talking about. 8 bullet points, none of which are relevant to Nebraska's season. Too many references to Kansas St. Perhaps you should quote some more Lindy's or Street and SmithsChris Klieman is 2-0 against Lincoln Riley, despite 8-5 and 4-6 seasons.

I’m close. If Illinois wins anything +4 will be a good outcome. If they win this winnable one…I’m guessing they’ll top out around 8 wins. Game 1 will be revealing. Ill talent is never putrid, not great, but not bad. A new coach will mean first 1/3 of the season is where you’ll want to catch them.If we beat Illinois, it will be 8 wins. If not, probably be a challenge to get to 6.

Bingo and cidsports.......have they ever been seen together. A lot of shared K State love
At what? Academics, football, job placement/networking? Pretty sure no sucking in any of those areas…
7 wins...Two weeks to go. Predict Nebraska's record for the regular season.
6-6
Underwhelming.
7-5 is where I am barring what you said about AM. I can see them as high as 10-2 but if you think that you also have to bring in the other end. 4-8. Both are about the same small % of happening but anything is possible. I would say 6-6 and 7-5 are about 70-8-% probable.Really hard to predict with so many variables that could ruin the season. If AM stays healthy then 6-6 or 7-5 is likely. If AM goes down then this
becomes much less likely.
It is imperative to win at Illinois to get these guys to believe. If Illinois beats us then I’m afraid this will be more rinse and repeat of the Frost
tenure.
Virtually every sports analyst who measures schedules has NU as having one of the toughest schedules in the country this season. Yes I agree that OU and OSU will be tough sledding but we're going to be dogs in half of our games.Who cares.
Outside of Oklahoma and Ohio St, all games should be winnable. By definition, 2 out of 12, isn't a tough schedule.

I think we have what 5 top 25 preseason ranked teams on the schedule? I don't think Tom ever faced that many in the regular season. Who knows where those teams end up but right NOW, the schedule looks tough. But hey, I'm predicted 8-9 wins with a bowl game so.....That has more to do with Frost and the program than Nebraska playing some loaded schedule.
Rattler needs to sprain his ankle badly in warm ups for us to have a chance.QB Skyler Thompson is 2-0 against OU.
Became the first starting quarterback to win consecutive starts against Oklahoma since Baylor’s Bryce Petty in 2013 and 2014, while he is the first to do so against top-five Sooner teams since Oklahoma State’s Josh Fields in 2001 and 2002… Set a career high with 344 passing yards against the Sooners, while his 13.36 yards per attempt set the school’s single-game record (minimum 25 attempts)… His 18.56 yards per completion at Oklahoma ranked second in school history among quarterbacks to complete 18 to 21 passes in a game.
OU is mortal. Still extreme long-shot, but K-State accomplished it in Norman, as did 2017 ISU team.
I don't think we beat OU by any means, but I also don't think it is a crazy blowout either. I think we make Rattler work a little more than he is accustomed to.Rattler needs to sprain his ankle badly in warm ups for us to have a chance.
Talk to me after the season, Northwestern will be a .500 team, Minnesota and Iowa are going to be 7 or 8 win teams at best, Illinois and Michigan St will be 4 win teams, Purdue will be a 3 win team. Buffalo and Fordham are meh. That leaves Michigan, who knows (6-10 wins), then Wisconsin, Ohio St and Oklahoma are left.Virtually every sports analyst who measures schedules has NU as having one of the toughest schedules in the country this season. Which is why at this point OU fans much more worried about KState than the Huskers. But RB room much better than last year, Rattler more experienced and defense improved. But will still reserve judgment until the game.QB Skyler Thompson is 2-0 against OU.

O line improves, makes RB better. Takes pressure off AM and he makes WRs better. I’m saying 8-4
When a perennial bottom dweller program with a first year head coach is considered a “must win” versus an easy win in year four, your team has a damn tough schedule.I think we have what 5 top 25 preseason ranked teams on the schedule? Notre Dame is the only program in the country to rank in the top ten in all time victories in football and men’s basketball. Just sayin’.You guys suck at basketball, but you probably just adopt another team like a typical ND fan.
I'm drinking the Kool-Aid....errrr I guess it's strawberry Mike's Hard Lemonade. Seriously. I LOVED the old strawberry soda pop and I LOVE lemonade. Throw in some booze and what could better? MMMMMGOOD!I hope you’re right. I do agree o line run-blocking is key to our success.
Well if we don't win that game, I think we have a new head coach in the not too distant future. A lot hinges on that first game and I don't see how the team recovers mentally if they lose that game. Beat Illinois and your upside is wide open. Lose that game and you're probably screwed. It's why we play the games. Nobody knows right now where this team winds up but damn with a senior 4 year starter at QB and what appears to be a deep roster you better win some games. One concern that cropped up is the injury to Corcoran. Not sure what to expect out of our backup tackle. He may need help from our best blocking TE who just happens to be out with an injury as well. That can be a game changer. When a perennial bottom dweller program with a first year head coach is considered a “must win” versus an easy win in year four, your team has a damn tough schedule.
Purdue worse than Illinois? Ouch. Pretty rough for a team that didn't get worse this offseason.Talk to me after the season, Northwestern will be a .500 team, Minnesota and Iowa are going to be 7 or 8 win teams at best, Illinois and Michigan St will be 4 win teams, Purdue will be a 3 win team. We will see. Right there with Nebraska and minny imo. Looked good last year before the defense quit on Diaco. Could be right though. I've got 6 wins.purdue blows, guy
this is nothing new
