Hard to argue against them although someone will. Several from the B1G

Ryan Day couldn't crack their top 20 list, yet there sits Luke Fickell at #15.RollingLaugh

Lance Leipold at #9....me thinks that's a reach, gents.

I do like the love for the little guys though - Leipold, Chadwell, Fickell, and Napier specifically, but I don't think Leipold or Chadwell (who has never coached or played at a P5 program or in the NFL in any capacity) will have the kind of impacts that Fickell and Napier will when their careers are a little further down the line.

I don't know if he turned them down because of the dumpster fire that is the Tennessee football program, but Napier was the guy to hire in Knoxville instead of going with the Danny White connection and Fickell can basically pick his next job when he wants to. It'll be interesting to see what PFF says in a couple of years regarding those two guys.

PJ Fleck?

The love for Fleck is beyond ridiculous. The guy took over a program that had won 8+ games three of the four years before he got to Minnesota and has failed to win 8 games in three of his four years there.

It is a truly remarkable job of self-promoting.

I think I'd slot Brian Kelly higher than 12...

I know OSU is a well oiled machine, but Ryan Day should probably be on there.

Some interesting names here.
If this same article was done in 2017....Scott Frost would have likely been in the top 10 at least. Its all about perspective. Sure the top 5 or 10 are proven winners over time. Other than that its really whos just hot right now.

No Ryan Day, Mike Gundy or Paul Cryst...yet you have Lance Leipold, Mark Stoops and PJ Fleck??! Also Kirby Smart being that high and James Franklin being that low is ridiculous..?

Then Ed-O just won the national title 2 years ago. Then being smart, getting Joe Burrow and bringing in Joe Brady to work with him his last year at LSU was brilliant!!

Some other coaches had their heads stuck up their *** and trusting freshmen qb's to be starters in the BIG TEN who hadn't played in 2 years cuz they broke their shoulder in the 11th grade! Smart.....
