Early lines tend to be "odd" in terms of the number (the OU line is -18, which you almost never see) but man this looks like a big number on the road.

I haven't bet in many years, but Illinois and the points seem like a lock. We lost last year because Illinois was a much more physical team (go watch the game again). NU players = IL players, IL HC in B1G > NU HC in B1G. ... But hey, there is a reason I quit betting.

Was the reason that you were so good at it that you started to feel bad for your bookie???

You won because Nebraska started a glorified WR at QB. AM shredded Illini the two previous seasons and he will again. And Bert is not a better coach than anyone. Can’t wait to watch Illini fans turn on that slob.

We also gave up 400+ rushing yards to a team that didn’t run for 300 in any other game all season.

It was 285 yards rushing, and 23% of the total rushing total given up by Nebraska in 2020.

Nebraska did a poor job of stopping the RPO last season.

Illinois has completely scrapped the RPO now and will be running the Pistol like Appalachian State.

They won't have much success in week one.

Don’t bring facts into this, dammit.

Pretty sure Martinez is undefeated against Illinois...

His career numbers vs Illinois are insane.

Of course, Every Big Ten QB has insane numbers vs Illinois.

Unless you're Luke McCaffrey.

Thank God Louisville's JV doesn't play Illinois this season.

Lovie Smith noted Martinez's dominance against his defense earlier in the week after being asked about McCaffrey playing significant snaps (roughly 4 minutes in):

It's unfortunate the way McCaffrey played because he's better than that, but not playing 2AM in this game was a huge mistake and I think Frost would acknowledge that.

As for 2021, Brandon Peters being a 9th-year senior or something like that scares me going into the game. Bielema can coach. Peters can manage a game. Both teams will likely play less than sharp and have some jitters. As a result I can't pick Nebraska by multiple scores in this one, unfortunately.

He's a career 54% passer about to play in his 3rd career scheme.

I'm more concerned with the fact that, for whatever the reason may be, every time he's been on a team that's touched the field against the Huskers it's been part of a beat down in his team's favor.

Brandon Peters was 9 of 28 for 74 yards vs Nebraska in 2019.
