Seems on par

Honolulu Saint Louis School’s AJ Bianco — a Husker quarterback target — is 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, has barely played high school football, and just could be the best quarterback nearly no school knows about.

Verduzco is the smartest guy in the room lol. I kid I kid. But seriously I do sometimes think we try to " find" guys when others may have overlooked them or given up on them. I admire that to a certain extent . But there is a fine line when you use this strategy. Miss to much and you end up with a bunch of QBs who can't throw or RBs who can't run or WRs who can't... Well receive lol.

Nothing wrong with taking a chance on a guy here or there but the majority of your players had better be solid players. It's ok to get on the longshot occasionally. But more time than not they fail.

Fwiw I'm in no way saying this kid isn't it won't be a good QB.

Yes he's a longshot but its worth it to keep the Hawaii pipeline open.

What pipeline? Lol. One guy from Hawaii doesn't equal a pipeline. Seriously I'm not down on the kid he could be a very good player. I hope if he's the guy guy it's because they think he's the best QB and nothing more. I personally like the kid from Alabama the best but again it's just an uneducated opinion based on a few highlight clips.

At the end of the day though Verduzco and Frost have to get it right. Get enough of these wrong and they both will be will be job hunting lol. So at the end of the day self preservation is first so I'd like to think that THEY think whoever they get is the best man for the job

It's fine to grab a guy like this if he's *one of the QBs* in your class. But with the kind of offense Frost is supposed to be able to run and the WR recruiting NU has been able to do, there's a major disconnect that they can't get a sniff from Elite11 type guys.

The right kid could come in here and throw for a jillion yards, there's nobody proven here and that includes Martinez who lost his job for a while last year. He got that starting job back because McCaffrey was awful, not because he was great.

The fact that they can't sell that to legit 4* and 5* QB prospects to at least get some interest, a visit, make a Top 10...that's incredibly disappointing.

Kinda my thoughts as well. When I look at our top 4 QB prospects it's kind "ok". You would just like to think we should be able to attract a higher level guy in this offense. Unfortunately I think the "newness" has worn off and now our coaches can't sell a dream of what it looks like. Kids wanna see tangible evidence and we honestly can't show them that from Nebraska. It's tough sledding...

Frost & Verduzco should have been using the transfer portal to find QBs. Go find the next Burrow, Mayfield, or Fields, rather than settling for injury-prone high school projects.

What a weird throwing motion. *But*, he was able to chuck it 60 yards downfield into the receivers hands. And of course is a highlight film so I have no idea if he’s able to do it consistently.

P5 offers from Nebraska and Washington State. Who leads Wassu these days?

We are seeing the same formula as before.. they aren't able to actually compete with the top schools, so they are reaching hard on projects, of whom most don't work out. They are bound to get one that does eventually, but is that how you want to build your program?

Given Nebraska's situation, they could only be helped by having such a system, that they could plug any decent set of athletes into and have success.

Such a formula worked for Texas Tech back in the day, and it also works for Wisconsin.. It used to work for us too, but every coach wants to do their own thing I guess.
