It is honestly a bit scary how poor the cyber security is in some very critical companies.
Can't get much more despicable than targeting hospitals during a pandemic.
If you target a hospital for ransomware you should get the death penalty. You could kill multiple people easily by impacting the systems.
Good luck finding or prosecuting them. It is likely some network of 18 year olds in Russia or Asia somewhere.
Even the best systems fail at the lowest common denominator, the humans running those.
