Groundbreaking announced for new football complex

Per OWH, the groundbreaking is this Friday. I suspected this was in works for Spring Game weekend, glad to see it finally getting off the ground.

moos and frost have been digging themselves into a hole since they got here. perhaps they could redirect their efforts and help out on the construction of these new facilities

I'm extremely excited. Going to be unbelievable from what all I am hearing and will put Nebraska Football back on top in Facilities

Hopefully they were able lock in all materials and building costs at the time they signed the contract.... otherwise it will be close to double the cost today

It seems though that it still will be built in two phases unless a lot of fund raising suddenly happens. Not sure that is wise to delay any part of it as inflation looks to really ramp up in the near future. Building costs like lumber are going through the roof.

Maybe they can make it part of the brilliant "green new deal." Windmills, solar panels, etc...AOC can oversee the project. 😆

Excited to see the new renderings what is envisioned in the inside of the complex so they’ll be able to give new recruits a better look for the future...
