Good start for Husker Baseball season. But the top teams (Indiana, Michigan, Northwestern, Illinois, and Nebraska haven’t played each other yet!

I wouldnt put Illinois above OSU. They played OSU and was beat 1-3 in that 4 games series. And they are currently playing NW this weekend and it’s tied 1-1, with final game today. As of now, OSU earned that spot. Indiana, Michigan, Huskers, NW and OSU.

Thanks for the work you did on this

I appreciate that. At least one person showed some love for work I put in for everyone. 😉

I love the way they are playing right now although they have had a tough weekend fielding the ball. 4 errors so far this weekend. Pitching is doing very well and most of our hitters are hitting very well also. I want to be super excited but they havent played anybody yet so we dont really know how good they are. Game 1 yesterday should have been a loss but Minnesota's bullpen is complete trash. They gave them that game with a walk parade. But I'll take it. Im guessing we finish #3 in conference and ranked around 30 or so. But wont make the tournament due to tue B1G f$%&ing the players with a conference only schedule. Top 2 teams will most likely only get in from B1G.

we have played OSU and Iowa. Both of those teams are solid teams. No, We haven’t played Michigan or Indiana. But I wouldn’t take anything away from Iowa or OSU (Iowa’s record is beat up some because of games vs Michigan, OSU and Huskers thus far). Both teams are upper tier BIG teams.

Anyone have a link for live stats? Statbroadcast is requiring a passcode for access.

Maybe our east coast Husker brethren can make the Indiana game at Rutgers a home game for the Big Red

If I remember correctly we had very few HRs under Erstad. Now it seems like they are killing it. Better players or Erstad and his small ball teachings? Both?

Team is a lot more aggressive under Bolt. That's why strikeouts are up as well. A kid like Luke Roskam is killing it. But if I was pitching to Roskam, I would never thrown him a strike.

I could be wrong but I think equipment played a role in this. We used bats specific to a sponsor and those bats were on the dead side of tolerance. I believe someone once said it was like hitting the ball with a lead pipe. I also believe they tried to get the players to hit line drives vs elevating the ball.

If that’s the case, then I’m glad Bolt has changed that up and let’s them hit it away and let’s them use different bats. We have definitely stepped up the Homers this season thus far.

I feel like plate approach probably has made a bigger difference. With the BBCOR standard, unless they were using like $30 Walmart bats I doubt the difference would be as noticeable as it has been.

I have no idea if Bolt changed that up or if the bats themselves have been changed either within the brand or they got the okay to use a different brand. I have no idea.

I'll take it. It's nice to be competitive. It's early. Hopefully, Povich will continue to carry us. It's nice seeing some O. Nothing like run support to help a pitcher.

They are back to playing how they did under DVH. Love the aggressive play

I think some of our stats are inflated due to some windy days, just a thought.

Good defense and pitching numbers..gotta love those windy days...

BIG 10 baseball standings (NW vs Illinois game not updated yet, NW beat Illinois 12-5 today to take the 3 game series 2-1.)

We control our own destiny. We play Indiana a bunch and finish with meat chicken. Stay focused. We got this. The loss to Ohio State and 2 to ii_a hurt,...... bottom dweller losses

It’s an abomination that the B1G willingly threw this baseball season in the trash by having zero non-conference games

What a bunch of holier-than-thou *** sniffers
