Nice that one of our men’s teams got around to treating Iowa like our B1tch again!

Are they allowing fans for the series this weekend? I’d like to drive over and watch Saturday

What do you think?

Unless you want to sit inside and watch men's gymanstics a week later. That's apparently ok but outside is not. I'm sure its not because the conference gets the gym revenue and the school gets the baseball revenue. The conference would NEVER stoop to something like that now, would they?

This weekend the 7-4 Huskers host 2-8 Minnesota for a 4 game series. Hopefully the Huskers can continue the hot bats and keep up the solid pitching and Bullpen. GBR

Look below

Sean thinks the Huskers will have something released here pretty soon on fans being allowed for this weekends game vs Minnesota. It’s guessed at or around 50% capacity, too.
At the time the question was asked the answer was a resounding "no". The topic was addressed multiple times during yesterday's radio broadcast.

being fair, I have no clue who’s heard what, seen what and so on. So naturally I wanted to get the answer out there for those who didn’t know. Definitely wasn’t a shot at anyone, definitely not a shot at you.

I love the defense. Checking the line and seeing 0 errors and that they lead the nation in fielding percentage is outstanding. Plus before the weekend they were doing very well in the pitching category. Losing Gomes for the season is huge. Just gotta keep those bats on fire.

I agree you give yourself a chance not making mistakes. In addition keep pitch count down. Bolt seems to be rebuilding the right way. Excited about recruiting as well

It’s only 12-0 Huskers at the bottom of the 4th inning. That’s not enough, let’s get some more runs. GBR

What are you all’s thoughts on this team so far. I am impressed but not 100% sure who to interpret things with no non conference games and big 10 only schedule. How good are we? Definitely like our approach at plate and do better knowing when to take and when to swing. Pitching improving but idk if there is top end talent. Love how this team capitalizes on walks and errors. Do u all expect conference championship, top 3, middle of the pack? Can’t see worse than that.

we appear to be in the Upper tier of teams in baseball. Definitely a top 4 or 3 team in the BIG. Indiana and Michigan are probably the top 2 teams. Then it’s ours Huskers and a few others battling for number 3rd and 4th.

That is kinda where my lean is as well. Talent level definitely better as foster and banjoff are pretty good and don’t crack lineup everyday. And I do see more depth with pitching. Think we could actually lose game 1 of a regional and have enough depth to have a chance

What would our record be if you add in the Anteaters, Baylor, Shockers, Northern Colorado, San Diego, Creighton, K State and a few of the other non conference teams we would usually play?

Nebraska is clearly better than "top 5." They're a legit league contender. The biggest indicator of a team's future success after a third of the way thru the season is run differential.

Huskers are currently +45 on the season. Michigan is the only team that's better at +49, but they've played one more game.

Compare that to Northwestern. They're currently sitting at 4th place in the league standings, and their run differential is +4.

At this point in the season it's a 3 team race:

Indiana has the best pitching with two elite starters.

Michigan has the best offense with the most offensive talent and pop.

Nebraska has the most depth, best defense, and top closer.

agreed, I was being modest with the “inside Top 5 BIG10 team”. Huskers are clearly 3rd in the BIG10 right now with only one game behind Michigan.
