I admire what he did at Wisky. That program sucked *** and he rewired it from the ground up into a hotrod.

For doing a great job as a coach and AD at Wisc? He represented his program in a way Nebraska hasn't known for 25 plus years.

He was at a bar in Lincoln a few years back the weekend of the Wiscy game. My buddy's wife said he's an *** grabber. If you saw her you'd probably believe that she'd know. I guess whenever Wisconsin comes to Nebraska they take what they want!

Alvarez was an assistant coach at Lincoln northeast at one time. He did ok for himself.
I think he is one of the last old school AD's out there...back in the day you coached, retired, became AD, drank all day and hung out with boosters to tell stories and raise money. And grab ***.
