Look at the teams in the tournament...better coaches equals more success. They don't have records like Nebraksa has had last 2 years and they don't care about ONE WIN. They are winning 20+...

I have watched several games and a few things stand out.
Team D. Abilene Christian was all over Texas and didn't give an inch. In your face D.
Get guys open for square up threes. We don't set enough screens and move the ball to get guys open.
Drive to the bucket. A lot of taking it to the rack, and strong.
Someone who can clean up the boards.

I’d rather barely make the tournament and win several games in the dance, then have an incredible regular season and crap my pants in the big dance......cough......cough, like most big ten teams have lol.
Tons of Big Ten teams going down, had a record 9 teams in it and only have what 2 or 3 left? Yeah the big is good, but we ain’t that good.
Tremendous logic! Using that logic, we would be playing North Dakota St, in the next game and South Dakota in the Elite Eight since we beat them both by 12 and 7 respectively. I like our chances.
Had a kid on our team we nicknamed “Sir Chucks a shot” He would pull up for a three sans notice, hit about 20% which wasn’t bad considering he was a 7th grader at the time. Stopped growing went to college on a golf scholl. Even at 20% he scored some points. The 6’2 kid that drove to the bucket was the leading scorer on that State title team. Those were the days!
I’ve always said, it’s not easy to make the NCAA tournament, but it’s not as hard as Nebraska makes it look.
Eventually I think NU gets over the hump. Bryce McGowins may be our next, best opportunity. Maybe he will be our Cade Cunningham.
Some day, NU will make the tournament as 4 or 5 seed and win their first game with ease; then become one of the “feel good” stories of the tournament when they shock us all and make the Sweet 16. We’ll be on cloud 9 all week, not believing that not only did NU make the dance...but they won 2 games! NU will take it up another notch and upset a #1 seed to reach the Elite 8. We won’t sleep for two days because a double digit seed snuck through the other side of the bracket and NU is a huge favorite to reach the Final Four.
We’ll lose that game, of course. But the time will come where NU fans will truly come to understand how much fun it is to make a tournament run.

Great points!! I remember watching the NCCA 1991 game vs Xavier down at Mulligans. It was wild! Oh, wait! Most of you young guys weren't around then. Sorry!

Nebraska just needs to figure out how to minimize their trademarked 4 minute scoreless runs. They generally have 1-2 per game in their losses and cant quite recover.
They need on ball defense, good passing (limit turnovers), and a few guys who can knock down open 3s. Oh, and to be above average at the line. Someone to clean up at the boards is a plus, but I wouldnt say Creighton has that. A few guys are scrappy, but their main "big" is 6'7. Kalk is 7' but only what, 210?
