brought to mind, my dads two favorite players.
yes, he was a bears fan.
in this order:
1. gale sayers
2. walter payton
and not much room in between.
he met walter at a business conference shortly after the super bowl. he sounded like a little kid at describing how humble he was to everyone in attendance.

Hated em ever since they let McMahon go and screwed over Walter in the SB. Love watching them nose dive at full throttle into the ground.

Guess where I watched that Super Bowl? I was a freshman at Nebraska in Lincoln and watched the game at P.O. Pears with another buddy. Had a great hamburger. Pretty lopsided game.

1985, right? I remember that game simply because New England's only TD was scored by one Irving Fryar.

1985 season. Game was played on January 26, 1986. I'm not a bears fan so I just wanted a competitive game. Not.

And that officially ends the Nagy/Pace era

Man, living in Chicago and becoming a Bears “fan” (I am a Raiders fan so I UNDERSTAND), Andy Dalton is the worst pickup they could have gotten. Mitch T isn’t even that bad! That 5+ losing game stretch was the worst offensive playcalling and philosophy I’ve ever seen. You could have Russell Wilson and Derrick Henry back there and it wouldn’t of made any difference
