I really didn't follow his time at OU but was he a total bust? I remember him being a freak of an athlete but maybe that was all swagger? I swear he stated as a frosh, no?

He played quite a bit. Pretty average at best. He actually had a few pretty bad games and OU fans let him hear it.

In my head Bookie was one of the biggest non-gets that I can remember, maybe with the exception of Owa Odighizuwa (sp?) - but I follow recruiting harder some years than others.

Despite not liking contact, he started 32 games for the Sooners. I'm pretty sure we could have used him.

His stats at OU were pretty mediocre. 115 total tackles, only 11 PBU’s and only 3 interceptions - in 3 seasons COMBINED. Throw in several bone-headed personal foul penalties. Washington isn’t getting a game changer.

I thought he was quite a bit better this past year than the previous two. He was roasted in some high profile games that probably made him look worse than he was.

Bookie loves contact. He’s a generally a smart player with one dumb penalty a week. He’s a great team mate.

The problem is he‘s a slow midget with short arms. Not a terrific fit in the Grinch “speed d”.

He's a slower, less explosive version of Cortney Grixby. Ironically enough, I was reminded of how OU went after Grixby in the Big XII Championship game when I watched random teams play OU the past few years. Not a bad player, just playing at a major disadvantage and being exploited constantly.
