I agree.

But it can take a century to get a couple difference makers, as we’ve seen.

In this conference you need a couple of big men to defend inside and kick passes out which will open up outside shooting..

We don’t have anything of the kind presently..

I agree. We need an entirely new team (again).

Miles won 20 and 19 games in this conference. Fred hasn’t won in more than a year.

Wow. Great input. I never thought of that. Email that to Fred and next year I bet he does it.

Miles last year left the cupboard as bare as hell..

Hoieberg knows what he is doing and adjusting to the Big 10 conference style is taking time..

I like your nicknames You come up with. For Hoiberg you call Him Hoieberg. What is that referencing?

Fred literally had nothing. If Riley left it so bad why are we celebrating some of Riley’s recruits coming back their senior year and saying they are the leaders?

Because sadly that's the veterans we have...none of them would have been drafted. I think a few could with an extra year. CTB def will be (Frost recruit).

Who had the most 4 star players on its roster in the West division when Frost took over?

Frost didn’t take over Alabama. That’s for sure. But he is, and no doubt will continue to be a failure. The excuses this upcoming year will be amusing.

Let’s see where Nebrasketball is at this time next year. If the team still looks lost I’ll be concerned.

Again, those 4* were almost all gone. This has been shown many times. Those kids all left.

My outside two cents:

Frost and Hoiberg are kind of similar in a lot of ways. Great recruiters and can bring in talent but the question is whether or not they can coach and in game coach?

Hoiberg was GREAT at ISU evaluating talent and getting them to campus and meshing...and then doing it again and again with a lot of new pieces. I think you are seeing a little bit of a different approach by Fred as he is looking more long term and with his recruiting it seems.

I think they both will be successful but the problem is that it is hard to gain traction in the conference as there really is no group of obviously horrible programs.

Considering Hoiberg has turned the roster over 2 times in 2 years, I am not seeing the long term approach you are speaking of. It appears his approach is the same to me, its just that he isn't getting the level of player he was able to attract to Ames.

Whose fault is that?

It's the nature of losing a coach who ran a completely diff system...Gebbia, O'Brien were pro style QBs. Johnson, Barnett, Stevenson and Blades who were 4* never made it or got in trouble. The only one I wish we could have held on to was Roberts who is a decent LB.

Literally left with a garbage roster.

Talent may be bad for Fred but just watching what Fred is trying to run with what he has is very disappointing and I see no improvement. I hoe that this all changes, I' m hungry for better play.

And how many of Frost’s four stars left that next spring or before? If you’re going to Attempt a roster overhaul then you better replace what you lost. He hasn’t as of yet.

So he inherited a crap roster he got rid of talented players and he still has a crap roster.
Now you’re going to come back and say transition classes are never good and it you take a chance on some players Who don’t pan out. And any number of other excuses. It’s funny he was able to get the quarterback he wanted, why couldn’t he get other players in that transition class?

He was coaching UCF and getting paid by Nebraska during that time. Instead of building relationships with his new players he would rather hang onto the one good season he had as a head coach.

What would you know about a job? You’re most likely waiting for Biden 1,400 stimulus check that he falsely promised Americans..
I’m like doc Sadler. I get paid to watch husker basketball games and send our film guy a text about what I see. I usually just come on this board and text what the fans are saying. So I’ll say “we need a big man or 2”. Fred then ignores it. But I get paid.
