are analysts allowed to help at all in recruiting? I dont think they can travel, but can they interact during visits, and contact coaches and such? Busch could help a lot in that regard as well.

Just my opinion after watching him at practice and listening to him speak a few times, as well as discussions with others in the same situation as me. It's entirely possible that he's improved a bunch since then though.

Not every good coach, especially assistants are good speakers but should know how to coach the position one is coaching.
Not sure what you observed at practice? Was Busch standing around not doing anything or he just come off as not knowing what he is talking about?

If Busch has a special talent for identifying under the radar talent, that would be fantastic. It's a definite skill and few have it. I like to look at past draft classes to see which GMs can forecast future contributors and which ones totally whiff to get an idea of how well they will do in future drafts.

They pretty much cleaned house on the defensive side of the ball. I think Busch getting canned was more about allowing a new DC to have some say in who his assistants were.
