I guess he’s trying to follow in Rondale’s foot steps. Wandale is a poor mans Rondale.

if he goes to Purdue remove wandale from any and all statistical categories. He never existed here.

He’ll share the secret plays, that lead to only FG attempts, interceptions and neutral zone infractions

And he may be just as good as Rondale with good coaching and by using him correctly.
He was used correctly here. But now that you mention it he did have a better game than Rondale head to head this year and his team won too.

Rondale is a beast. Not even a comparison. He’s leaving early for the league, no way Wandale could or will be able to do that

you keep pounding this drum.

he was definitely used here. no doubt about that.

correctly, though? depends how you quantify that, I suppose.

Yes I do, because we still have idiot posters that continually say he was used incorrectly. Hell now we even have one saying he would be just as good as Rondale Moore (the same Rondale Moore he outplayed head to head here) it it weren't for our coaches. I guess they didn't get in the way that game, when Moore playing next to a NFL WR never got going and Wandale who is used incorrectly ran wild.

Give me a freaking break. Wandale got the ball in the flat, on screens, on outside runs, on inside runs. If he isn't happy with his production, he has no one to blame but himself. And we have all these posters that want to ***** about him getting carries between the tackles (god forbid). Those were usually his best plays.

yea, I don't have an issue with his usage here, either. I just don't know what 'correctly' means, really.

guess we'll find out if he averages more yards/touch elsewhere with the ball in his hands much less.

the Rondale Moore comparisons are ridiculous.

I will look the other way at a dismuke/williams targeting foul, that's for sure

I remember 12 or so years ago listening to the radio feed. A NU safety lit up the KU qb, Meirer(sp), and got a personal foul.

Davison, color guy said, "at least he got a good lick in."

I could look that kind of other way too.
Blaine Gabbert and Josh Freeman paid too.

Rondale Moore averages 95 yds receiving per game (14 TDs in 20 games)
David Bell averages 92 yds receiving per game (15 TDs in 18 games).

Wandale: 32 yds per game (4 TDs in 18 games)

I can understand his frustration, but it’s quite the gut punch to lose him. He had the attitude we need. He was a leader.

What does Purdue have that we don’t? A QB is my guess.

I know we got two from Iowa, but I oppose players transferring within the same conference.

I would disagree with the bolded, though maybe you know more than me.

I thought he played with some fire on the field, certainly played tough after taking big hits. I also know he called out older players last year who weren’t buying in, etc. It didn’t come across as arrogance to me, but rather rally the team to put the effort in.

But no matter what he was doing here, he’s still a quitter now. I can understand, but quitting on your team is quitting on your team.

Yeah, I didn’t include rush yds on purpose since it sounds like the Robinson family wanted him to be a WR.
Like you, I don’t really have a problem with how he was used here.

Just pointing out that we’re not getting much done through the air both yards and especially TDs.

Here is something pretty telling in the article that might be the cryptic answer to the questions we have about our own offensive staff and sticks out like a sore thumb, think about it!

"There is trust that the offensive side of the coaching staff will remain in place"

Colorado has a WR entering the portal as a grad transfer. Wouldn't be a huge get by any means, but could be a decent one-year investment:
KD Nixon

I will say he is the only guy I saw on offense with the right mindset. He actually tried and was passionate about it. I would rather have another 10 guys with his mindset on that side of the ball. When you are the only one though, it made sense to move on. I really can’t stand the leadership on that side of the ball

And the young man seems like a great person. Not very often do they have a freshman be the face of the university at a facility announcement. Didn't handle himself like a true freshman

If he goes to Purdue, I hope he does well. Except when we play them. Then I hope we knock him silly.

I agree with another poster I was somewhat disappointed that wandale lacked the breakaway speed, don get me wrong he’s a good player and I thought he could be another Darrin sprolls but it never happened good luck to him in his new school

I do wonder what our offense would have looked like had Omar been 100% and able to produce on the outside and over the top. How would wandale have been used then?

I disagree. He is a solid player, but I don’t know that he is fast enough to be a huge playmaker at his size. He showed flashes here, but I also saw a lot of mediocrity from him. Every time he gets hit I cringe...I doubt he could stay healthy at 15 touches a game. Maybe time will prove me wrong. Many here pictured JD Speilman making a big impact at TCU as well. If Wandale was a big play guy he would have made more big plays here given the volume of touches he received.

Not that it matters to me but time will tell. He very well could just end up as a good college football player
