Can't wait. No really, I can't. By then I think we'll have just about everybody vaccinated who wants vaccinated and we can all return to somewhat normal. People who refuse vaccine will still be dying of course but that will be their problem. Ahhh for a leisurely day basking in the sun on a warm spring day. I remember getting burned to a crisp the last time I went to one in college. I think there were maybe a couple of thousand people in the stands at most back then. Good times.

I just hope we opt in for it. Is that a thing? When you opt out do you have to officially opt back in with another vote? Or are you automatically reinstated when the new season rolls around? Inquiring minds want to know....for the record, I had zero issues with the opt out...just saw an opportunity to be a smartass, and took it.

Hopefully ALL of the team who haven't had the rona already go home and make SURE they get it over the holiday break. Go lick some door handles or something with a little fuzz on it. HOPEFULLY they don't make players isolate for the 2nd semester. It would be the dumbest damned thing the B1G has done to date if they do. All it would do is prolong the problem on college campuses.

We won’t be vaccinated by the middle of april, as it sounds like things are going slower than hoped

When you consider that 35 t0 40% of people won't get the vaccine and then add to it that most of the young risk takers have already had it, I think most of the people who need it will have been vaccinated. We'll likely have 2 more companies shipping their vaccine in the next month or two as well. In my area probably two-thirds of the people I talk to have already had COVID. Things have really slowed down at our area hospital. Every single person I talk to other than the old ladies checking out at Menards and HyVee have had it. Was it the masks protecting them or their previous exposure to milder Corona viruses giving them cross protection? Man serology studies on HyVee checkers would be REALLY interesting and useful to do.

The day before yesterday I picked up carry out from my favorite place and it was about half full with some people at the bar. Zero masks on anybody. The owner said that they were booked full with reservations for New Year's Eve. I think we just have that many people who have already had it. On the flip side another place had to shut down for 10 days because somebody on their staff tested positive.

The roll out has been a little slow for the vaccine but that shouldn't be all that unexpected with it happening in the days leading up to Christmas. Most of the crap about the rollout being spewed on TV is politically motivated. They're going balls to the walls in our area and the high risk healthcare workers all already have their first dose. My sister in Florida who is not in healthcare is scheduled this week for her first dose. She's a high risk person due to health issues but if she's already getting vaccinated, things are getting done.
