Most of the millionaires I know dress a lot worse than that. While I wear a tie to work everyday, like a sucker.Hey I have that shirt Frost is wearing!!!! Wow. I dress exactly like a guy who makes 5 million a year and I make 50k. So cool!!!

You know why they play. You've got to put film together over a career to go to the next level. That's what a college career is about. There are no minor leagues in football like baseball. You need to get noticed before you get signed to be a part of them. The film is complete. They hey is in the barn. No need to continue at this level. They don't need to play for free for your entertainment any longer. Then why play the season at all? How is playing 1 more game much more of a risk than playing a 12 game season?
There wasn’t ANY bowl games on Christmas Day..Geezz Louise..![]()
The above statement is erroneous ... you should probably apologize to Louise
I was very disheartened to hear they opted out.
But hey it gives Frost more time to give tours right?
Maybe Pete has some good info and future talent or CNBC exposure will help?

If you want to count a non Power5 conference bowls that’s your prerogative, but figures you would stoop asking a snide remark to a bowl that no power 5 team could play in..
Now, name your team or GTFO...
deepest of apologies ... when you wrote ANY (you went to the trouble of capitalizing ANY) bowl games, I foolish assumed you meant any bowl games
looking back, now, when you wrote "There wasn’t ANY bowl games on Christmas Day.." (forgiving the grammar, of course) it is now clear as day that by ANY bowl games you really didn't mean ANY bowl games
Read my post again we I posted it wasn’t realistic to play on December 26th... Obviously you knew what I meant but had to through in Camellia Bowl that is played with no one from a power 5 conference team..
Don’t you have bed pans to change ? You’re getting way behind..
why wasn’t it realist to play in the 26th?
Bed pans..
Their calling for U..
It's one of the perks of making what he makes. Thank God he doesn't get his picture taken looking like the Twitter CEO testifying before the Senate. I pretty much where what I want when I want as well.....as long as don't get the stink eye from Mrs. Claus. It has to be a pretty formal event for me to put a tie on. My best pair of jeans and a sport shirt works for church. I might put on a pair of slacks if we're heading to very nice place for dinner. Times have changed in most workplaces and IMO a football coach should look like a football coach. I'm fine with Frost wearing whatever the hell he wants. IF you have to rely on what you are wearing to convey authority to your team, you've got bigger problems. Most of the millionaires I know dress a lot worse than that. While I wear a tie to work everyday, like a sucker.
Once again why wasn’t it realistic to play on the 26th - the team couldn’t turn around and play a game in 8 days?
you like to double and triple down on just being flat out wrong
Oh goodnight already, put your antics to rest big boy! Seriously I get the frustration I would have loved to see the huskers play in one more meaningless game as well, even if we didn’t deserve to play in a bowl game (sorry not sorry it’s the truth we didn’t deserve to play in a bowl game with our record).Once again why wasn’t it realistic to play on the 26th - the team couldn’t turn around and play a game in 8 days?

The truth of the matter is life will go on, Nebraska football will come back around next year, and hope will overfill and the spring again, and hopefully we can put things together and actually have a winning season and EARN our way to a bowl.
There really was no benefit to being handed a participation trophy (bowl game for losing record), because what’s the best possible outcome? You beat a lower tier team that everyone expects you to beat anyways, so really no recruiting momentum comes from it and no extra media attention, with what 2 to 3 extra practices? Worst case is you lose to a team you’re expected to beat and you run our team further down, it gets ran through media as proof of just how far we have fell and you possible get some injuries that can take players out for the following year.
This year took a toll on the kids, let them have their break and come back hopefully hungrier then ever to prove themselves. Either way though how worked up some of you get over the TEAM turning down the bowl is just crazy, there used to be a time where the “everyone gets to play” mentality drove us crazy, we flat out sucked this year and did not earn a bowl game, life will go on, next year will come around and hopefully we’ll be better... I’d love nothing more to watch us play in a bowl game, but I want is to earn that game not get handed it because there weren’t enough teams to go around...that’s liken looking around the bar at closing time, grabbing the closest one saying “come on you’ll do”
reasonable explanations as to why they didn’t play- thank you
however it doesn’t address why it wasn’t “realistic to play on the 26th” which is what was stated ... would it have been realistic on the 29th or 30th ... why not the 25th or 26th?
Maybe you should see who played on December 26 and what bowl game would be available that would have been worth $&it...
Najarian played LB for Minnesota after turning down an offer from TO.I had to Google this guy to know who he is and I found a clue.
From his Wiki: "Peter Michael Najarian is an options trader, television personality, market analyst, and co-founder of optionMONSTER"
OPTIONmonster!!!! Frost is changing the offense!!
His daughter ran track at NUNajarian played LB for Minnesota after turning down an offer from TO.
“Our university is committed to playing no matter what ...No matter who it is or where it is”
“Our university is committed to playing no matter what ...No matter who it is or where it is”
Comment was taken about the regular season that was delayed entire mouth from when the SEC and ACC started..
Man your worse than a hemorrhoid...
Name your team or GTFO ..
in those 2 sentences there are 3 “no matters..”
no matter what
no matter what
no matter who or where or how it looks
seems like a pretty idiotic statement if it really does matter what, who, where, or how it looks.
Oooh... a chance to watch The Pirate! We should have nabbed him. Aaargh.we should have played in a bowl game, deserved or not.
it sucks that we didn't.
miss st went 3-7 and are playing in a bowl game today (as a 1.5-point favorite over a top-25 team, no less!).
This trolls 5yr old mentality has grown old and for the life of me I can't understand why the mods don't take action and ban him before him and his ilk kill this board.Oh look the same clip recycled for the 1,000th time by the same troll. Get a life man.

Which really kind of proves my point here... let’s be honest the ONLY reason Miss St is favored is because what they belong to the SEC and they’re playing Tulsa? IF they lose to Tulsa how much more damage does it do? They get to proclaim that they shouldn’t had played in a bowl because they had a loosing record? They get to saywe should have played in a bowl game, deserved or not.

fair enough, but I don't think Mike Leach would ever say they shouldn't have played in a football game.Which really kind of proves my point here... let’s be honest the ONLY reason Miss St is favored is because what they belong to the SEC and they’re playing Tulsa? I’ll stress again I would have loved to see us play in a bowl game this year, but not with a losing record like this... I’m not a believer in the everyone gets a medal or everyone gets to play. I believe that in football, just as in life you have to earn it, the rules are you have to be at least .500 to get a bowl, this year it was waved because of COVID... there was maybe two practices to gain from it which is great but other then that there was nothing to gain... seriously people get over it this reeks of desperation and it’s not a good look
The good news is eventually the sun always comes up.fair enough, but I don't think Mike Leach would ever say they shouldn't have played in a football game.
NU football is absolutely desperate for anything resembling success, earned, given or otherwise. your apathy, and the willingness of many others to back the decision to end the season, is proof.
it's never been darker in Lincoln than it is today.
too bad we can't predict when this nuclear winter will clear. The good news is eventually the sun always comes up.
I can agree with a lot of what you put down here, I just want to be clear as mud herefair enough, but I don't think Mike Leach would ever say they shouldn't have played in a football game.

I think the decision was made for two reasons. First, I think and foremost I think they were just worn out emotionally and physically. It's never a great idea to make major decisions when you are in that state. Second, I think they doubted their ability to get ready and have success against the opponents they were predicted to draw. Those things being the case, I think Moos and the staff decided that it was in the best interest of the program to end the season with a W and start fresh in the spring. I'm okay with that. I haven't been practicing and playing for 6 months like those guys were and I WAS EXHAUSTED by the deal.I can agree with a lot of what you put down here, I just want to be clear as mud hereand go on record and say I don’t necessarily back the decision to end the season, I can just understand why they did... again I would have loved to see them play in a bowl game, no I don’t love seeing them play in a bowl game with a losing record, but I would have loved watching them...
Initially when the news broke of them turning a bowl game down I was furious it felt like the team didn’t have heart, still kind of feel that way... but I have also taken a step back and realized that there really wasn’t much to gain from it, and I have justified it with the fact that had this been any other year this would be a non issue because no bowl would have even came sniffing due to our record. I’m more or less tired of seeing all the complaining about this or how the coach dresses.(I mean serious, we playing football or dress up here
) No amount of complaining is going to change how this year played out, nor is it going to put us in a bowl game this year... so it’s Tim to move in focus of closing out this crootin class the best we can and hope like hell we can finally figure this thing out next year, because I’m getting tired of always waiting for next year.

Gets old doesn't it?? Kind of like "Melvin Gordon just scored again" been said about a million times on here for like 7 years right? Don't stop idiots from keep saying it does it?
Same idiots who got us where we at now....fine with losing records. Oh we were losing to Wisconsin over n over. Now we everybodys6...now everybody in the conference kicks our teeth in.
