620 yards of offense, score really should have been 42-14, but Nebraska was ugly in that first half.
Another ugly *** game. Rutgers should have been completely outmatched and should have been a blowout, but instead we play in a pillow fight the whole game. Even when they win, there's not much to be excited about.
That should be the blueprint for Frost and Co. Play to the pieces you have. Quit trying to be too cute with the play calling. An ugly win is better than a loss every time.
Shoulda, woulda, coulda, Frost got lucky and came out with a win. “Back in the day” could you imagine the exuberance of beating a “Rutgers”?
I think we would have an invite. I think it might be time to go home for Christmas though, these kids deserve a recharge if they want it. If they decide as a team to go bowling I’d be more than happy to watch another rollercoaster ride of a game.
I sure hope so. But, I suppose that is rather selfish of me to say. Perhaps these kids just need a break. Build upon this game, either way.
