Give it the Viking funeral it deserves as this as bad as it gets vs a depleted team
I couldn’t agree more. I never thought I’d see it, but it is dead. Keep Frost, don’t keep Frost, I don’t think it will matter. Us Husker fans just need to find something else to do Saturday afternoon.

Frost’s coaching career as a power 5 HC might be dead.

But, we are just a Matt Campbell away from being the best program in the West. Go from there.

A better coach could turn this around. There's plenty of talent to work with thanks to Frost and team. But it's gotta happen.

Yeah go to a message board after another bad loss and look to find the greatest fans.. you make a lot of sense.. try going to a game in lincoln stud then report back. Pretty sure the team you represent will be treated very well

Just a bunch of blue hairs that don’t even know what they are watching.

Agreed. We bought the "cupboard was bare" line for 3 years, but the talent is there in bunches. The only difference is that now we look poorly coached talent vs poorly coached lack of talent. Frost- please man up and admit you are in over your head. Stop taking NU'S money to put an Un watchable product on the field.

From an outsider this is what I would do. As AD I would be discreetly using resources to find out who are the best coaches available . Either head coaches or assistants wether coordinators or not. I would also find knowledgeable sources not know-it-all’s to assess what are the strength and weaknesses of Nebraska and what strengths are needed for the next coach. If I could identify a person who is available that meets what is needed I would politely fire Frost and hire this coach. Either I would be successful of I would resign in 4 years. If I could not find a coach that meets what is needed then I would hang with Frost for another year. During next year I would conduct in background a coaching search. You must be discreet and work with a small group of people. Easier said than done.

I didn't. There were obvious coaching issues in game 1 of year 1. That Colorado game was about the most sloppy, ill-disciplined games I've ever seen at the college level. The first thing you should teach as a first year head coach is playing disciplined, fundamentally sound football. Our coaching staff completely ignored that because I guess they were focused on other things. The fact that most of the fanbase and the athletic department gave Frost a complete pass for that poorly coached and ill-disciplined mess of a first season and well into year 2 didn't help matters one bit.
