Minnesota will have multiple starting offensive linemen out, four defensive tackles available and only two tight ends.
Gophers starting center John Michael Schmitz and guard Axel Ruschmeyer were out, with guard Nathan Boe snapping to starting quarterback Tanner Morgan in early warmups. Fellow starting offensive lineman Blaise Andries, Sam Schlueter and Conner Olson were also warming up.
The tight ends will be Brevyn Spann-Ford and true freshman Austin Henderson. The U is without Jake Paulson, Ko Kieft and Bryce Witham.
Starting nose tackle Micah Dew-Treadway was also out.
Gophers head coach P.J. Fleck said Monday there would be 20-plus players out due to coronavirus, which keeps players out for 21 days based on Big Ten protocols.
But three other Gophers starters that have missed time this season were seen during early warmups: defensive end Boye Mafe, defensive tackle Keonte Schad and cornerback Benjamin St-Juste.
