Tough schedule but I think we will win a few of them. We just have no post defense because we are tiny. Also need to take care of the ball a hell of a lot better. Walker comes back last part of the season should provide a little help. Fred needs to find a big that can help next season - get the 5* McGowen and this team is in good shape.

Isn't Andre our true big? He should help immensely, but not sure when he's coming back.

I'll say we are 7-7.

Just stop the 6-7 sloppy lazy turnovers a game and hit 4-5 more threes and they should win half the games... also would help to convert three pt plays at the free throw line.

There will be nights where we will shoot lights out and win a game or two we shouldn't (see Iowa last year) but otherwise gonna be tough sledding through the B1G

And make a few more layups.

Looking at the schedule, I suppose they have a shot to beat Indiana and/Minnesota at home before January 20th, but I won’t count on it.

Both the schedule and Nebraska are brutal. We get home games with Rutgers and Penn State. Those are probably Nebraska’s best chances to win a game or two the remainder of the season.

I really don’t see any home court advantages for anyone this season without any attendance...

. Other than sleeping in your own bed and familiarity with the court there is none. Crowd is prob the biggest advantage you have normally and well sometimes the refs in bball lol

all arbitrary dates aside, I believe OP's question really boils down to:

do we win another basketball game this season? we certainly won't be expected to by oddsmakers in Vegas.

I think 3 or 4 is ceiling at this point but we will def win another game, that group of misfits last year won 2. Despite all our shortcoming no way we don't win one game.

The thing with this team is you never know what you will get. One game they come out and shoot well and play good defense and the next game they don't do either. I dint know why they were so lazy on defense last night. Did they even have a blocked shot? Or did they just put all their eggs into one basket and figured if they shut down the ACCs leading scorer that that would win?

Best chance for a win pre 1/20 is MD. Maybe Purdue.

Rutgers is a tough squad. Wouldn’t put them on a best chance for a win list.

I can see the Huskers playing Creighton closer than that, unless Mitch Ballock finally makes some shots. Last year the Jays could turn to Alexander when Ballock was off, but this year they're a bit thinner in the scoring department.

Still like Creighton to win, though.

I really can't. we're not better at any position, and we don't have a better coach.

honestly thought it would be closer to -20.

The only reason that the team is doing so poorly is because of the referees. I also heard that an opposing coach clapped for one of his players and it caused the Huskers to immediately throw the ball out of bounds. It is everybody else’s fault!

This team is clearly more talented than last year, but also much more willing to chuck up awful 3 pointers with 15+ seconds left on the shot clock. McGowens and Teddy need to stop forcing up bad 3's, Banton needs to play more under control, Thor needs to contribute something on offense, Yvan needs to kick the ball out on offensive rebounds, and I think Shamiel Stevenson deserves a little more playing time. Lots of issues, but most are relatively simple and if we clean them up we could be decent team.

for those with short memories, creighton led NU 42-11 at one point during the first half last year

in 2018, they led NU 38-8 during the first half

that sure is something

Ha! Maybe the 14 is the first half line.

I don't think there is a snowball's chance in hell Nebraska keeps it within 14. Maybe the Huskers can get a late garbage time cover with a meaningless 3 at the buzzer.

Creighton does a great job of making you play the type of game they want you to play. Nebraska thinks they want to play that type of game, but not with Creighton. Also Creighton shoots so well at home. I think Bishop and Mahoney will have big games for the Bluejays and that spells trouble for Nebraska.

I don't understand the doom and gloom of this thread. I think this team is very good now and we're missing 2 of our top 6.

How many night have we shot “lights out@ this far into the season? Not sure if we will be 3-11 on Jan 20 but I wouldn’t project that we’d have anymore than 5 wins at that juncture (best case).

Hard to win a lot of basketball games when you can’t shoot 3’s, can’t shoot free throws, can’t make layups, and turn the ball over all the time.

Can't we just play McNeese St every week? That was a horrible game plan by our coaches going against GT. It is telling when they are more worried about what a 5'5 guy will do than what we can do as a team.
