Was fun to see a hard working walk on get his moment of glory in the end zone ! Evidence that dedication and hard work leads to good things.

Yes, definitely. And props to Levi Falck for a great game too.

It was a well executed play. The shift gave us an alignment advantage. The line gave Amart enough time to make the pass on the rpo. I think it was Allen and Falck getting the perimeter blocks. Liewer made the catch and read open edge, touchdown. Congrats to all.

He seemed surprised on how easily he got into the end zone. He started looking around like he was wondering if the play was blown dead or there was a flag....."did I really just score a touchdown?"

He still didn't get that foot down vs Aquinas in the State playoffs. How O'Neill, a perennial door mat, a town full of men with big mouths and no guts, won state that year (beating Ethan Piper and Noah Vedral along the way), is a ******** miracle. You paint a horse green and ride it around town like a jackass every St Pats you are just asking for the Gods to piss on you. Good for Liewer tho. Works like a dog in practice I'm told. Had the good sense to be born by a man from Atkinson. A far more reasonable respectable town than O'Neill.

Lmao.

The QB on that O'Neill team had something like 20 small college scholarship offers after throwing 31 TDs and 0 Interceptions. He didn't take any offers and is now the most legendary Intramural Football QB in the history of UNL.

Ahhhhh......Ok.......this “ONeill vs Atkinson” blood rivals embittered spat sounds like a good old “Geneva vs Sutton” or “Colby vs Goodland” rivalry here in Kansas. My wife from Colby - a non sports person who tolerates MY DONU obsession - only values in sports that you cheer AGAINST the good folks in Goodland to the west. Why — I ask her? She tells me it is because she is a Colby Public School graduate, and that is what it is your duty and honor to do. We are not talking rationality here, we are talking “blood” rivalry!

Scrappy kid. Plays with a lot of heart. Deceptively fast. Real "coach on the field" type. Heady player.

Good for him. Following in the foot steps of another O'Neill LION, Marty McIntire, who had the good sense to do whatever self-destructive **** he's doing now instead of playing FB at a non D1 school. Sometimes its time to put down childish things and commence to being a man.

6 foot high jumper, 20 foot long jump, All State Class B in the 110 and 300M hurdles. He's plenty athletic enough to serve as a second team receiver.

IM HIPPY you are so wrong about foot, it indeed come down inbounds, go cry somewhere else because you have no clue what you are talking about, were you at the game I happen to have first hand knowledge that the foot indeed came down inbounds.

Honestly regardless of whether the foot came down or not ( I lean yes nut admit a bias ), it was an OBJ type of grab !

and on the 19th post, I'll finally credit the HC and playcaller for a nice check at the line to a play everyone hates at the perfect time for a walk-in TD.

good on Frost, Liewer, the lead blockers and AM for a well executed play all around.

Get off your green horse and open your eyes. Helluva catch. But they should have disallowed it in principle on account of how O'Neill crapped the bed the following year with Liewer and some of those other dudes back for SR year. I guess the wrestling team grunts were the heart of that team. Atkinson > O'Neill all day everyday. Atkinson an actual farm/ranch community. Honest to God cowboys walk the streets. Men who know and value a hard days work. O'Neill basically a cheap version of Neligh. Heard City Council in O'Neill was entertaining a motion to rename the town NELIGH LIGHT, but they weren't sure how they'd spell that across the big green weed hilariously painted across the main intersection in town.

I'd suggest the only firsthand knowledge you have is of your own inadequacies, a flash of insight that occurs to you every time you unzip to take a leak. Aquinas was robbed that year.

Why wouldn't he expect a flag the way that game was going?

Honestly, an insane grab for a HS athlete. I'm always happy to see local kids, esp kids from small towns at skill positions, get significant PT. Even if they happen to be from a sad and desperate hellscape like O'Neill. I'm bitter because I had $$$ on Neumann in the C1 finals that year. I could have bought lava lamps and blacklight posters for 18 months with that money. O'Neill biggest town in NE Neb outside of Norfolk, gets rinsed in all sports by the much smaller towns in the area. How can you respect that? I grew up in NE NEB and enjoyed punking O'Neill more than any other school. Sure, its fun to whip Boone Central, or Hartington CC, or Wayne, but those schools had some scrap. O'Neill had a little flare up of success when miraculously they had a couple of classes in a row with kids who could chew gum and walk. It was like seeing an animal that could talk. Not natural. But back to normal for the "Irish" capitol of Neb. I think they went 0-fer in FB. Including a hilariously lopsided beating at the hands of my alma mater. AGAIN.

Hippy, so your saying the refs should have ruled it out of bounds because he was from a town you don't like, yes that makes all the sense in the world now. your argument is funny to say the least.

Straight A's from K-12 at stops in Atkinson, Ord, and Battle Creek. I've been to St Pattys day three or four times up in O'Neill, good place to take a ****. Even better than shitting in Pierce.

I've examined it thoroughly. Its curves and contours, the strengths and weaknesses. Your assessment is generally correct. And after much thought, recounts, considering the other angles, etc...I've come to the unimpeachable conclusion that my reasoning is solid like a slab of quartz. You could use my argument for countertops in your kitchen. Would require zero to no maintenance and offer a bit of wow factor to your drab *** digs. That's how solid that argument is.

I can appreciate anyone who wants to **** all over O'Neill. I too loved beating them in every sport. What sucked is they were always pretty good in baseball because their legion team was fed by O'Neill, Atkinson, Chambers, Page, Ewing, Orchard., and some Boyd County kids. Other Legion teams in their district would have to pick from 15 local kids and O'Neill would get to cherry pick from a bunch of towns.

Somehow I doubt the straight A's. Stops at multiple schools is very believeable. I would bet that you got the hell beat out of you at all of them. Mom being a teacher wasn't enough to save you.

Make fun of the white walk on if you want. He was a helluva high school athlete with excellent speed and hands. Back before the scholarship limits he would have gotten one from NU.
