Yeah Indiana is looking more and more solid. They were sort of gifted their wins over Penn State and Rutgers (the former by a dumb coaching decision and the latter by a string of turnovers), but they’ve put together a great season. It pains me to say it, but IU is pretty good. Weird how other programs figure out how to stop stepping on their dicks.
Reminds me of Minnesota last year!Yeah Indiana is looking more and more solid. They were sort of gifted their wins over Penn State and Rutgers (the former by a dumb coaching decision and the latter by a string of turnovers), but they’ve put together a great season.
They have a very good offense and good defense. They're legit.Yeah Indiana is looking more and more solid. They were sort of gifted their wins over Penn State and Rutgers (the former by a dumb coaching decision and the latter by a string of turnovers), but they’ve put together a great season.
Held them to six points. Well done. Allen is proving to be a hell of a coach. His guys absolutely love him and he coaches them hard.Announcers said during the game that Alvarez was lobbying for more flexibility in the BIG title game criteria. Maybe he can get them to pick teams based on reverse alphabetical order.
Yeah I’m embarrassed he’s a Nebraska gradAlvarez is a sanctimonious ***. His team can’t lose often enough.
Alvarez shouldnt be allowed to call himself a Husker.Alvarez is a sanctimonious ***. His team can’t lose often enough.
Aw, c'mon now.....Alvarez shouldnt be allowed to call himself a Husker.
I may have missed this in conversation, but I assume Nebraska has less talent, less resources, and was no where near the same caliber program as Indiana when their new coach took over. This is what I’ve heard said about others programs where a new coach has improved each year - so I assume Indiana is the same story...It pains me to say it, but IU is pretty good. Weird how other programs figure out how to stop stepping on their dicks.
Ooops, I thought maybe you were going to reference Indiana and what we thought the Husker program would look like after 3 seasons of new leadershipWhat you are seeing is what we all thought we would see about 3 seasons ago...
Is that because he is a winner?Alvarez shouldnt be allowed to call himself a Husker.
Our DC Learn the Defense from the HC who was the DC before being named HC. We will be fine. What you are seeing is what we all thought we would see about 3 seasons ago...Wisconsin starting to look pretty lame.
The next big issue for them will be what to do with their DC...he is an alum and they don't want to lose him but clearly he is going to start getting offers...if he goes that team will really start to look like my dick. Soft and easily beaten.
They’ve done what Nebraska needs to, and build on wins. Nebraska, so far, cannot even finish games.Yeah Indiana is looking more and more solid. They were sort of gifted their wins over Penn State and Rutgers (the former by a dumb coaching decision and the latter by a string of turnovers), but they’ve put together a great season.
he gave that up a long time ago with some of the sh## he's pulled against his alma mater. Just because he went to school at Nebraska doesn't mean NU means anything to him. I spent 4 years at Mizzou and I rooted for NU the whole time I was there.Aw, c'mon now.....
What has he actually won? Wiscky trophy case is identical to Iowa’s exceptIs that because he is a winner?

Tom Allen was the DC before he was head Coach, He was the play caller on the D two years while he was Head coach. My point! he train the now DC.Not sure who you are talking about but it isn't about "learning" the defense, anyone can do that, it is about the calls to make and the adjustments that are needed.
I can read a freaking book about "how to" just about any topic but when it comes time to do it I would be worthless...Trust me, I read the Art of Sex. And when I went and put the longest part of my body (my nose) into her hairest part (her armpit), nothing really happened.

It's because he's a prick.Is that because he is a winner?
I thought it was pretty obvious myselfNerd, I am talking about Wisconsin. What the ****.
I’m assuming you’re pointing out he never won a national championship. If so, is that the only sign of a winner? With that logic, everyone on this board is a loser because they have never achieved the highest title of President of the United States, not topped the Fortune 500 list, or (pick your favorite pinnacle accomplishment). What has he actually won? Alvarez took over a bottom barrel program and brought them to respectability by implementing many things Nebraska used to do. He then moved to AD and kept winning more than he lost by making very good hires.
At the end of the day, he will leave the Wisconsin program better than the way he found it. TO owns Alvarez at head coaching, but Alvarez owns TO on the AD position. His program has owned Nebraska head to head while he has been involved. What happened back when the US dollar was taken off the gold standard or before any kid playing football today was born is ancient history.
There is no doubt that Alvarez is a prick and full of himself, but those traits tend to go with a lot of successful people.
