Also, and as an aside, if B1G teams are only playing other B1G teams, what do you think the conference winning percentage would be? Now factor in games not played.

It's pretty clear there has been improvement on the lines, and that is the long term way to build a football team for B1G competition. The rest is mostly fake news to borrow a phrase I favor.

the B10 sucks this year. and NEB got out of losing the wisconsin game. Penn State outplayed us but lost because of turnovers. NEB is not a bad program. But if PSU would have had a normal year and Wisky played us it would have looked like a terrible year. a lot of mediocrity in the b10

For once, it was us that cost us this game and Iowa absolutely had nothing to do with it. That's what happens when you keep shooting yourself in the foot. We outyarded them and at the end we were actually moving the ball on them pretty easily. The Blackshirts did their jobs and that last fumble as we were driving, AM wasn't to blame one bit for that as he was blasted on a blindside because MF whiffed on his assignment. We were actually in position to win the game and ended up giving them an early Christmas present.

That run AM had at the end of the game that was called back had us down on their 30 and was called back on a questionable call and we were moving the ball at will on them and can guarantee with the momentum we had, we score on that drive but ended up punting the ball because of it and then the D gave us another chance with a 3 and out and on that last drive is where the fumble happened.

When the teams in a conference only play each other, you are going to end up with a bunch of teams with similar records. Except for a few teams at the top and 1 or 2 at the bottom.

I was hoping for more improvement in several areas, but it hasn't happened yet. We had our chances to start to differentiate ourselves, but still seem stuck in the mid to lower tier of the conference. Even the game yesterday should not have been as close as it was. We could not come out in the second half and make enough offensive plays to keep the pressure on.

FWIW- I did begin attending games when in 1970 when Nebraska beat Wake Forest, and literally hundreds of games as a fan, in Memorial Stadium and others across the country... even worked on a college staff for 6 years before deciding I valued family more than FB and also wanted to impact people in a more meaningful way.

I don’t care if you think viewing games objectively and analytically based on experience means what you think is askew.

Actually 6 teams not four with better records. 2 and 2 is a better record than 2 and 4. The difference is a winning percentage of 500 versus a winning percentage of 333. Sorry.
