If you can not field a team, it should be a forfeit. It is perfectly fair. All teams are in the same situation. The more disciplined programs would have less chance of infections. If forfeits where in play, maybe coaches and players would work harder to keep the China virus out of their program....

well except all the ADs agreed before the season even started there would be no forfeits. So there is a consensus on this issue

Agree that that there was a consensus, and, can't be changed now. I just think it was a bad decision in the first place.

Would have to be some more cancelled games but

A Big Ten clause does potentially apply to Wisconsin or any other team that falls below six game. If the average number of games played by all teams falls below six, the new minimum number of games required for the Big Ten championship game would be two fewer than that minimum.
