A) a passer that can run it just enough

OR

B) a runner that is a weak passer (decision making/arm talent)

OR

C) Good at both

C) is a rare bird. Very rare. He's usually a better runner. For example, Lamar Jackson is a dynamic runner and serviceable passer. But when the game is on the line, you don't trust him to make the right throws. He's been figured out. Can he improve enough as a passer? I don't think so.

B) If this is your QB, you better commit to it, meaning you mash on offense and use your stable of running backs. 1 guy is getting 20 carries a game minimum. The running yard are not from the QB taking off to save his life.

A) This is the correct answer. Accurate, can read defenses and can deliver the ball to a dozen or so playmakers. Doesn't even need a rocket for an arm. Just someone who doesn't short hop it or routinely throw into double and triple coverage. It's a wasted effort to sign 10 WRs and leave them on the sideline. I would not play for a school without a QB that is a legit thrower. You are dreaming if you think you can develop natural arm talent
