Nebraska has had issues with pass protection, qb play, and receiver play. So I am asking which aspect is the most important. If you could have 1 of the 3 be elite and the other two average what would u choose. I lean qb but could be convinced pass pro

An elite QB wont do anything with a ****** OL. A serviceable QB will look elite with an elite OL.

It all starts up front. You can have any QB you want but if you dont have protection he dont have time to make a good throw. The O-Line gives tome for the receivers to get open.

Offensive line. Easily.
It's Offensive Line and it's not even close. Even Tom Brady's stats take a hit when he's under duress all game. The hierarchy would be:

1) OL
2) QB
3) WR

You gotta have a guy who can throw an accurate ball, but first he has to be standing to do it. If those first two happen, you get the luxury of worrying about whether the target is able to catch it.

I vote pass protection. I remember David Carr coming out of college. The kid made all the throws and looked amazing. Then a few years behind Houston's sieve of an offensive line and he was beat up and gun shy. Pushing throws too soon to avoid the inevitable hit. Time makes good quarterbacks great and lack of time ….

The OP's question assumed that there would be one elite position and two average positions. So I was assuming that the OL would be average, not ******.

Agree also. Joe Burrow was Elite and look how he elevated the LSU Offense.
people conveniently forget Burrow's perfectly pedestrian junior season at LSU

there's a lot of factors that went into his lightning-in-a-bottle senior year, with a beyond elite passing game coordinator being toward the top

that said, you still need to make the throws, and he did
