So what's the situation with the Illini QBs? Due to covid they played a young mobile QB?
Who starts Saturday, and what does he do well?

If you are in Illinois, you could probably answer those questions better than we could.

This is from an article posted before the Rutgers game about Williams. Peter’s is out due to covid protocol. Backup has injury:

Williams is the second highest-ranked prep recruit to sign with Illinois, choosing an opportunity to play quarterback at Illinois over opportunities to play wide receiver or defensive back at some of the top programs in the country, including Alabama, Michigan and Ohio State. He has played some snaps at wide receiver for Illinois. But Saturday will be Williams' first big opportunity to show that he can be the future starting quarterback at Illinois and potentially the future face of the program.

I am in IL as well. The next time I hear Illini footbal talk on local sports radio will be the first time I hear it!! Literally zero local talk occurs on college football

As is always the case with NU, they'll start the game with one QB who is trying at every turn to give us the game. Then they'll pull him or he'll get hurt, and their backup will start lighting us up.

The way the backup played we will certainly make him an instant Heisman candidate.

Sometimes the starter lights us up right from the get-go. :)

Illinois QB Isiah Williams named Big Ten freshman of the week after his first career start in which he set an Illini single game quarterback rushing record with 192 rushing yards on 31 carries.

That 39% completion rate is terrifying. If Luke “can’t pass” how bad is this guy?
Not really Williams passing I’m concerned about given our history with mobile qbs.

Also I’m hardly the only person who is worried about Luke’s passing capabilities (article). Love his energy and his speed. Love that he friggin Won. Hope the passing improves

That's indecent exposure

Peters will start with a short leash. That is what the Illini fans are predicting. That also sounds like what Lovie would do.

We thought we had a decent chance to land Williams here, then Lovie hired his high school coach and got him (maybe others from the school). Marquez Beason (once a Nebraska commit) went the same year to Lovie I think. We were losing out on guys to Illinois. Sad.

Chicago media is too concerned with the pro teams. When Illini are good in football or basketball they will get some coverage. When they are their normal bad then nothing. Northwestern is the same.

I guarantee Baby "Juice" starts. They might have packages like we did as well with 2 QB's. You don't have a kid run around like that last week to then sit him.
