I don't blame Coach Frost for having PTSD after what he's dealt with over the past 2 years on offense

but now we have speed, talent and depth at the skill positions, and it's time to let it fly

it doesn't have to always be pretty, but there's no longer an excuse for not stretching the field vertically (another game with zero deep attempts) or getting skill guys the ball in space

live with the mistakes; let's see who wants to go make plays

I mean if the Kade Warner's of the world are going to drop wide open TD passes, they aren't reliable.

We're definitely going to be sledding uphill until we do something beyond 10 yards in the passing game.

I don't think the line would've given LM enough time to throw deep today, but I do agree, we need to start taking shots.

Play Betts, Fleming and Brown and give them the ball. Roll the pocket and take some shots. The future is now.

Sun was in his eyes!*

*(Even though it was directly behind him. In case you missed it in the game thread, the Fanboy Club was out in force in today.)

Maybe his mustache blocked his view of the ball? Winking
I always felt that if Warner, Vedral and Mazour ever got on the field at the same time, there would have been enough wood on this board to build a house. Today provided good evidence of that.

Right now a deep completion isn’t as important as simply threatening the defense by taking a shot.
Playing an entire game in a <10 yd box is nothing short of incompetence. There’s no excuse for this. None. Zero. It’s year 3. Coach your team.

I wonder if he will have to run a lap or maybe even 2 at the next practice? Winking
He should he wasn’t concentrating tried to alligator chomp the one against ohio st and wth he was trying to do today is a head scratcher. Ron brown told his receivers you better catch what ever comes your way because were a run first team

What I saw of the game, this is an accurate statement. It isn't like he has all day back there, seemed to be pressure all the time with a basic 4 man rush. The deep ball doesn't seem to be Like"s biggest assets but I could be wrong

Yes. If Warner can’t catch the ball what value does he bring to the field? He’s not gong to be making explosive plays for this offense. He’s a possession receiver but not a very good one if he can’t catch the ball.

I fixed it for you.
He tried to body catch a pass at sternum level. Any good receiver will always put their hands up to catch that instead of using their arms with hands facing down. That's on Kade

Yes...and the second wide open TD he’s dropped this season. The first I put more on AM...the one today any WR who is 13 years old+ should have/would have caught.

What are all the great things that biden is saying, and what is he doing to fix the country. You have never responded.
He’s staying at home and letting the big boys and girls get some work done without distracting them. Ice cream!!!

He should have caught it, but I looked at the tape and it appears that ball may have been tipped and messed up his concentration on it.

What do we have to lose?
Well we have played two close games and could be 2-1 in the conference. Running guys out there who can't play would mean we would be 0-3. Starting Xavier Betts and losing every game is not going to make Betts a better player. In fact it will breed a loser. For perspective this is still the warmup range of the season in game 3...very rarely would we even play a conference game yet...expecting true freshman to come in a dominate at a complex position like WR is nonsensical. And for those that wish Frost would simplify the offense...that means removing any of the outside option game, screen passes, and basically going to a single back set. Do you really think we can move the ball in a single back set with no window dressing on the outside? On only true TD drive was created by amazing exterior blocking, and Betts had to run in a straight line.

But you would expect a starting WR (whether a former walkon or not) to catch a ball hitting him right in the bread basket while wide open in the EZ in game 3...right? Would Betts have been a better option on that play? Do you think he would have caught it? He does...we are likely not ringing our hands watching that final drive.

Yes. Warner can now grow his mustache in peace, never having to worry about playing football again

He’s probably a good kid but if he can’t, at least, catch the ball in this offense he has no business on the field.

Good kids are for mowing lawns.

warner won’t be missed, and I’ll never ask his whereabouts when another bricks a wide open td

he’s merely rubbish washed up on a beach of losses.

We are panning for wins.

Agree, this is showing up in the rushing yards. Hard to rush when there are 10 guys on the line of scrimage.

Where the he** is Omar manning ? He was the reason for my optimism this year and he's not even playing.
