this post is sad. the criticism is founded. your grapes are too sour.
@B1G RED RULES care to comment?

I know today's a day you didn't wish to see. like I said, OP's criticism is founded. your post is that of a teenage girl.

let's hear it, big guy. assuming there's anything to say.

huskers looked like ****, and beat a team that looked worse. no problems were solved. but, we won. I'll take an ugly win over an ugly loss any time.

unlike you, presumably.

We barely squeaked out a win over the worst Penn St. team I have ever seen. Disorganized, poorly coached and unprepared team.

Funny to see the same posters saying we would get killed bitching after we win.

Ridiculous. They have problems but they arent poorly coached, disorganized, or unprepared.

If I hadn’t watched the game, and only read some of these thread titles, I would swear that Nebraska had lost.

2nd half adjustments are a problem. We can whistle past the graveyard all day long but it's an issue.

You know that makes sense... I’d have a hard time calling plays if I had **** all over myself too. I mean, it’s ****, and it’s all over you to boot. Hats off to Coach Frost for handling adversity like that and coaching his team to victory covered in ****.

I actually know an assistant high school coach who was fired for screwing up personnel/substitutions and “embarassing his program” in the same way Nebraska did all day today. He certainly did not make $200k either.

Well I really hate to admit it but yes I've been disappointed in the coaching. And yes the responsibility for the program ultimately belongs to the head coach. It seems like coaches and players are fine before they get to Lincoln and then they flop. The second half vs. first half performances are as good an indication of coaching skills as anything else.

My theory is that Steve Pederson put something in the campus water system out of revenge just before he got run out of town that screws up star recruits and the coaches too. And Nebraska has never been the same since that time. Don't laugh, my theory is as reasonable of an explanation as any out there. :(

I knew a guy who was an assistant manager at Amigos. He got fired for saying “adios amigo”. He made $8 an hour.

Osborne's halftime adjustments were a thing of beauty. Scotty, not so much.

Still, and this seems to be getting lost in a lot of these threads.......PSU was favored to win. NU won.

Could be worse.....could be PeeBird fans still searching for their elusive trophy case.

I still think at this juncture a win is a win, regardless of PSU record they have great athletes and a great staff
They played OSU to a 38-25 respectable game, lost on a very questionable call to a very good Indiana team that
has just gotten better every game, Maryland is also much more competitive, but they played poorly.
This game could have gone either way and it should not have, but they won, ugly or not I’ll take it!

I’m probably a minority on this but I don’t blame Frost for playing it conservative late in the game.
Guys, I’m thrilled we won but have a ways to go on offense to get better. Between all the high snaps, personnel subbing issues, players running into each other, Luke’s low line drive throws, freshman not knowing the plays, our captain receiver not catching wide open balls, etc. that only left us with the redundant running plays. Our defense won this game for us tonight and they will have to carry us this year.

our defense should carry us when we start a rs freshman. it is a team sport. the number of positive plays is going up. the number of bonehead plays are trending down. not quite ready for the playoffs. we'll get slowly better and better.

I agree. I was impressed how our DB’s played at the end. No dumb pass interference penalties.

Well I agree with this, a win is a win and we needed this. I was just pointing out my concerns about a coach that can't make halftime adjustments and can't seem to score in the 2nd half. We can't expect our defense to continue to bail us out when you give the opponent 91 plays.

Hell, I'm just happy we got the W. This season has been a sh*tshow from the beginning. I can't imagine being a student right now. Let alone, a college athlete. COVID can't and hasn't been easy for any team to handle.

For me, this season goes down with a huge asterisk next to it. I'm merely happy they're playing.

91 plays and 500 yds offense. all they get is 23 points. now that is really funny.
this is what a team playing together can do to opponents

Yes Taylor Britt and Bootle were especially good today,
I will add Honas as another one that played very good as he was all over the place and in on most everything pretty much wherever the ball was that wasn't thrown downfield. Honas is pretty damn good! Dismuke also had an excellent game as well and so did D Cap.
