Launch day consoles are trash and you end being the guinea pig for later ones. With that said PS5 next spring. MLB The Show 21.
Spoken like someone that didn't get a preorder before they sold out. Still playing my day 1 ps4 and it gets played almost everyday.

I’ll probably get a PS5 next year, I barely got a PS4 a month ago, just to play online. I really wish with the NIL that they’d figure out college football.... Especially since I can’t find my NCAA14 since I moved. Madden kinda sucks.

Same, attempted to, but Walmart site freezes trying to buy a roku for 20% off, so until they fix the site, it’s near impossible to do it legitimately.

or its called life experience.

So how is that PS5 launch working out today? Looks like allot of preorder superior race folks are going crazy on twitter and reddit because they are looking at a $500 paper weight due to a storage issue that bricks the console . Sony is not going send non streamers a RMA for that day 1 brick anytime soon. All you had to do is wait a few months then buy...

If we get NCAA 22 this summer I'll probably end up with a PS5. I have a suspicion that what they put into Madden 21 was the foreshadowing that the NCAA franchise is coming back. I imagine they'll give it Madden's upgrade system too where you can choose how you level up your players.

I loved the version of NCAA where you could do the offseason drills with your players and improve specific ratings, I wish they would have kept that in.

Basically the #2 reason I don't buy games on launch with price being #1. Red Dead 2 was my lone exception, I grabbed that on release because I loved RDR1 so much. Bought that one as the PS Hits edition for PS3 with zero expectations and was just blown away with it, hence my thirst for the sequel.

Price comes down, bugs get patched. You pop it in and download the patch files and experience none of the rage the first wave players dealt with at a fraction of the cost.

This in particular sounds like a software/firmware issue not a hardware issue. It's not like it's some crappy solder that shorts a series of board. It's also an example of why the companies are loathe to make consoles backwards compatible because it causes a cascade of unforeseen problems.

The NIL has something written into it that I thought made it near impossible to make an NCAA game of any kind at this time. Unsure if this link is still relevant information.

to me this is horrible news and the NCAA is trying to do whatever they can to make it near impossible for these athletes to make money... if you really read into the proposals there are some pretty strict stipulations there... the only loop hole I can see as of right now is for EA to get their individual colleges signed on and then try to get get your key big name players signed on as well... other then that you make a completely randomized roster and do your whole statement of any similarities to names or likeness are purely coincidental

The problem with a completely random team, seems to be the argument that players are the ones making that team famous, therefore needing compensation? Even without using a players likeness, which seems like a shallow argument.

Well, I'm planning on waiting until Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on PS5, because that is the first game I want to play on the new PS5 and I wanna also wait for civilization 6 to be installed on the new play station. Even though I didn't know much about this game, but after I read more about Civ 6 Tier List I realized that it is a really cool game, and it is a must try game for those passionate about different strategy games.

I lucked out and got a couple PS5s a few weeks before Christmas. One for me and one for my younger son. I keep telling myself that the latest console will be my last but I've been saying that since the PS3 came out. I don't really buy into the whole "wait until all the bugs are worked out" theory. I bought a PS4 on launch day and that thing worked all the way till the end and my PS3 lasted until about three weeks before the PS4 came out.

I bought the new COD because honestly I couldn't find another launch title that really caught my eye. I hadn't played COD since WWII. The last two games really lost me with all of the futuristic crap. This one has been a lot of fun so far. So right now I'll just keep bouncing between COD and Rocket League until something new comes along.

I stopped playing video games when I discovered online poker. The kids are into them now. Just bought them a switch for Christmas.

I’ve played a lot on the new PS5. Makes me kind of forget about the PC.

We've got both the XSX and PS5 (youngest got for xmas).

If you liked Zelda Breath of the Wild on Switch, I HIGHLY recommend Immortals Fenyx Rising on any system. I think its $30 on Amazon right now.

This getting a PS5 for my kid is an absolute nightmare.

Not sure I'd trust those trackers, but I had heard that Target was starting to get a few in stock. Need to be up in the middle of the night to buy online when their stock "goes live" by store. One tip, try multiple pick up locations. We got sold out notices at the store closest to us, but my wife tried a different store and got one. This was walmart, but probably similar.

Zero interest in video games and would rather stab my eyeball with a rusty fork than sit in front of my youngest son's screen and watch any of that crap.....but then my oldest son came to visit over Christmas and brought his I-Racing set-up and I was hooked immediately. He leaves soon and I will miss it. If you've never tried it, you should.

I feel your pain. We watched all of the online restocks like a hawk and were on the website 15 minutes before the release time. Had the PS5 in cart multiple times only to have it vanish. We had completely given up. Then one Sunday night I was at home watching the game and I was looking through Twitter trying to find any tips on PS5 restocks and came across a website that supposedly tells you what stores have them in stock. I typed in my zip code and it said the Wal Mart 20 minutes from me had them in stock. I thought it was complete BS so I called the store to verify. The guy in electronics kind of hesitated and then said yes we just got some in. My older son and I hauled *** for Wal Mart and were able to score two. It wasn't long after that that Wal Mart demanded that they be taken off of said website. Laughing

I got a PS5 and was terrified to turn it on after seeing the number of people having issues with it. But it’s been getting used everyday for probably 5+ hours a day with zero problems.
Spider-Man Miles Morales, Demon’s Souls, RDR2, and Ghost of Tsushima are what get played on it so far.

Wait for the PS5 redesign imo. Launch consoles always have issues. Plus you can get a backlog of games for cheap.

If youve gotta a good PC or have a modded console check out college football revamped. There is a large modding community updating the game
