So how many here switched from Facebook to Parler?

Maybe just talk to real people in real life and not on social media and you don't have to worry about being censored. It's actually pretty nice.
Then it will be just don't talk at the grocery store, then tailgating, then sporting events, then restaurants. This is how the slippery slope works.

I have heard at least half a dozen different excuses that people on the left used to make that sound like what youre describing it as. I just think he mis spoke. Does it mean there was no voter fraud? Absolutely not. Does it mean there is? Yes that has been confirmed. We just don't know to what extent.

All that aside, my point is just that the example in question involves a manipulated video and, given that much, I was curious about how people think FB should handle it.

Personally, I don't have a huge problem with "flagging" a false video if it's not going to be removed. Compare that to practices employed by other social media companies... like HuskerOnline, for example, where individual moderators have a toolkit that basically involves locking conversations, editing / removing content, or doing nothing at all.

I get censored all the time on FB. When I try to post about my ANTIFA propaganda or BLM post they seem to disappear. I never get mad though. I am not a free speech absolutely.

There are hypocrites on both sides of this issue. Parler would be the legit solution for republicans. It IS obvious to people in the middle like myself that republicans are censored far more, even with totally legit info like the Hunter Biden stuff, and that is just plain creepy. When you look at the list of the high ups at Facebook and Twitter though, there are no surprises because an enormous majority worked in the Obama White House...Dems will hypocritically deny that this exists, even though they respond the same way when it happens to them (Fox News)

The hypocritical part for many republicans is that these are private companies who can legally do what they want in regards to censorship. But ironically, republicans want “big government” to step in and take away these companies’ freedoms because now all of the sudden the free market system isn’t working and people are too dumb to punish these biased companies in their wallets like the free market system says should always work.
Except these platforms receive immunity from the government. They should lose it if they insist on behaving as PUBLISHERS.

"No one can serve two masters," Jesus says in Matthew 6:24. "Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money."
Im not sure how youre getting the idea he wanted government control of everything out of that.

I am really troubled at how many on our side of the aisle don't get this. It makes sense the totalitarian left would argue for abolishing the arena of ideas, but some on this board have recently contracted "John Roberts" syndrome.
They would rather patriots lose thru fraud than be accused of what Dems are actually guilty of.

CNN, MSNBC, ABC, Fox....all these are unabashed media organizations and are all biased. Folks hoping to pin Facebook into a media platform bin aren't going to get traction on any sort of bias issue they are hoping to "fix".
OAN,NewsMax, and InfoWars are the only place to get real news after FoxNews has been overrun by the Liberals.

Amen to that. Jesus was about private/personal charity as a spiritual practice. He did NOT advocate for government to supposedly do the same, although maybe it should in ways that don't run counter to the basic tenets it is founded on and constitutionality.

Maybe you should think about that example a little more if you're such a devoted follower of Christ. Just a thought.

Before deciding I'm just another commie lib, I'm an Independent but I've voted Republican in almost every presidential election I've been eligible (11 of them). I did vote for Jimmy Carter for reelection because he seemed like a decent man who put the lives of the hostages before his own ego and political career. As a nation we survived the embarrassment. I've voted Republican because I don't want the government and it's bloated bureaucracy in my business any more than necessary.

I think it's un-Christian on the other hand to demonize those we don't agree with and treat them like enemies. If the standard MO of your leader glorifies a lack of respect and compassion I have a serious problem with that. I think many other folks share my opinion.

I'm perplexed why so many seemingly decent Christian people are so devoted to a man who to my eyes is such a poor example of the behavior that I thought Christ tried to teach us.

I'm not worried that the Dems are gonna make us commies. They most likely won't even have control of Congress. If there is a problem take control of the House in 2 years. Use the system without unnecessary threats of violence.

Spare me the conspiracy theories. Maybe the aliens are behind it all. Good enough idea as any.

The fact that the Texas Lt Governor is offering rewards of up to a million dollars for evidence of voter fraud ought to tell you there is very little factual evidence of widespread voter fraud at this point. If real evidence is found let's all see it and go from there.

Don't forget Breitbart! I have yet to be convinced that they're a solid need source, and I've been going there for a few years now.
For profit journalism is a paradox. Similar to for profit religion. You want your journalist and your priest to have the core tenets of the profession in mind when they provide a service. If they put profit first then the journalism and religion is corrupted, manipulated, or propagandized under the belief that profits are worth more than truth. Add in the degeneration of American morality in the name of profits and you get a system where people will ignore the fact they are being propagandized merely for clicks. There are some reliable news sources embedded in corrupted conglomerates. All news comes from corrupted entities but sometimes truth and journalistic integrity persists despite the desire from higher ups for more clicks. I am not a conspiracy guy but you ever wonder why the nation is perfectly split 50/50? Media outlets use algorithms to calculate maximum clicks, interest, and profit. Extreme political ideology drives addictive behavior and pushes people to the extremes of each party, creating a reality where people rarely shift from one side to other. And the algorithms are looking to attract people who have nothing to click. So a centrist, with a college degree, may not have any click bait, but the media is driven to pursue these non-clickers because the others are now zombies. The "split" between parties is manufactured, maybe accidently, just like how Coca Cola vs. Pepsi drives up profits for both.

Many thanks. Are you talking about this?

https://www.seattletimes.com/nation...ote-fraud-claims-proliferate-on-social-media/

If so, we're talking about a manipulated video that's been circulated by Eric Trump, Kayleigh McEnany, etc in order to construct an obvious lie about Biden supporting voter fraud, yes?
Even after watching it, it didn't remove context. So you made my point for me. Had they said, " he "misspoke" I buy it. But they claim its manipulated video, which in no way is factual.

Process the words manipulated video. In no way is that statement factual in this case.

Who confirmed voter fraud?

Who did it benefit?
Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai, an MIT grad who created Email. He said through an algorithm he might have found 69,000 votes switched from Trump to Biden. https://mobile.twitter.com/va_shiva . Not confirmed, but likely will be according to him. He reached out to both President Trump and former vice-president bidens representatives to review the data. Wouldn't be willing to do that with Mr. Bidens representatives he didnt think it was correct.

Never said he was reputable stop putting words in my mouth. I never even said it was a correct analysis just one of the hundreds of voter fraud allegations that should be looked into. What about all of the affidavits? Democrats have still not accepted the 2016 election results and now the Republicans don't trust 2020s, but its only the Repub that are crazy for looking into it? I spent 3 years of my life hearing nothing other than that Russia ******** that didn't amount to anything. We will see if voter fraud amounts to anything. I hope there was no serious voter fraud. I will always root for free and fair elections. If there was "mass" voter fraud as some would call it, the people responsible need to be held accountable.

“Russia ********” resulted in 34 people being indicted and brought to light clear efforts to influence the election. But I guess that’s not anything right?

I googled Parler and read the mainstream media reports on it. It appears most of them despise it and are casting doubt about it. That is enough for me to believe it has merit.
