On another note, and I'm putting this nicely, Caleb Tannor is not a division I talent and should never see the field again. I'm disappointed in our OLB play and we're no better than we were last year. I can now see why we were desperate enough to move Henrich to OLB when we have very little depth at ILB.

Well you are wrong on that. Tannor is for sure a D1 talent. He may not being living up to the total hype, but he is playing for NU and not doing terribly. But good try.

100% correct. He gets limited push off the line. And ends up on his back way to much.

You know what I think he is on the verge of turning the corner. Sometimes I can't tell if he's setting the edge or just getting straight up blocked, but he has gotten to the QB in each of our games. I saw some good things from him Saturday.

It did look like in the second half Northwestern tried getting him in coverage on their tight ends and running backs and he struggled a bit with that. I hope it’s not a case of once an offense has seen what he can’t do, they take advantage of it in the future.
Most LBs struggle in coverage in case you haven’t noticed

He is terrible. Hard to count the number of plays he was lying on his back. Even happened when an undersized TE/receiver was blocking him. Total liability against the run and a mediocre pass rusher only if the other team happens to forget to block him. If they do got a guy on him, he's not getting to the qb. Okay I won't put it so nicely, he is trash.

Reimer is a BOSS. Aside from him, Henrich is up there too. Dude literally owned an entire series when he was in. We should phase out Miller and Tannor and mostly utilize Reimer, Henrich, Domann, and Honas.

Yes sir. That sounds right to me.

Most Nebraska linebackers, yes!
Guess you don't watch much football other than Nebraska games. If your point is he was totally blowing his assignments that's one thing but just saying he was having trouble in coverage is a pretty weak criticism.

Most division 1 linebackers can cover tight ends and running backs. They will struggle on receivers for sure.

please. game day is all that matters. we've heard enough about practice the last 3 years to fill a grain silo. it hasn't translated into wins.

if we have gamers on saturday, I could care less what they do during the week. get them out there, get them the ball on offense and put them in a position to succeed on defense.

Hey I've got a novel idea. Maybe if the Huskers stop leading the nation in dumb play it won't matter which player is on the field. I am not saying they will immediately be ranked in the Top 10, but cutting down on penalties and stupid mistakes will certainly make winning a whole lot easier.

Respectfully disagree particularly in regards to running backs. Most running backs are faster and quicker than inside LBs.

It's good to get Reimer on the field. He seems to have the best instincts and speed among our inside guys.

Now I don't know who's going to elect to come back next year as it's a free year but I'm thinking Henrich is going to be playing mostly at OLB next year.

is a true sophmore and a walk-on, from Nebraska of all places. We will not win games with walk-ons playing a significant role. Prove me wrong that we have better and more deserving players at linebacker not getting a fair shake.

Your premise is that we cannot win with walk-on’s And I agree with that . This line of thinking does not mean that a walk on like Luke R cannot be a great football player from what we see on the field he is the best we have. A 3-4 star in signing day does not make you a better player once you reach the college level, the players ability does, period
