Go look at highlights from 2018-2019 season. Comfortable in the pocket...even under pressure he continues to find receivers downfield and runs north and south when he needs to. That Adrian would have smoked current Adrian's Nebraska team this past Saturday.

One of the greatest unsolved mysteries in college football. What happened to Adrian?

It’s gonna take more than looking at highlights. Everybody looks good in their highlights. I guarantee by the end of the year AMs highlight reel will look just like 2018. It’s not the highlights I’m worried about. It’s the lowlights that are concerning.

Fair, however, I'm not sure Adrian has a single highlight yet

I think AM’s “regression” is a bit of a myth. Really, he had a couple good games on a row at the end of his Freshman year. He was a kid surrounded by vets and had some nice pieces around him and still struggled most of the year. Now he is the vet expected to lead kids and can’t do it.

True! Deontre Williams looks like a can’t miss lottery pick with his murderous hits.

I believe they replaced him with imposter Adrian after halftime of the 2019 Colorado game. Some say he’s an alien, but aliens can hit bubble screens. So I’m thinking North Korea did something.

Yep, he looked smooth and there was a reason why outsiders were talking potential Heisman for him.

And then Frost/Verduzco got a hold of him.

No doubt Mario can get them here (AM, LM, Smothers), but yea I too question this whole "quarterback renaissance" thing he's got going on. Quarterbacks are great because of their natural instincts. When you start feeding them full of a million things they have to do and remember on every play, at some point it will do more harm than good. I can't help but think that Martinez has been over-coached and is now in his own head.

How Verduzco wants his quarterback to operate on the field...

He's had some solid runs. But Luke can do that arguably better, so why keep trying with AM? AM would make a better I Back if he were trained to do so (proper carrying more that anything).

I'm not sure sure it's the coaches fault. Other than starting him as a freshman where he's probably formed too many bad habits on his own accord by not having his starting job legitimately threatened. Now I'm afraid it's too late and he's sticking to his guns. The question is: will the coaches??

Could be. And I don't want to be too harsh on any individual because problems are rarely black and white, they are more complex. But I hope it's evident how well we moved the ball with LM in the game. This is a weird/tough season anyway. It's time to commit to the switch. Get McCaffrey, Fleming, Betts and Brown on the field and start building that chemistry.

Anybody else feel like AM throwing motion seems off recently as well? Seems to have alot of wasted motion and throwing from the hip.

Did he reinjure his shoulder and is now hesitant? After his first injury he thought he was good, and now he got hurt again and is playing differently going forward.

Sometimes those injuries never heal right. Drew Brees was coming off a shoulder injury which prompted San Diego cut him loose. New Orleans took a chance and the rest is history as they say.
