I didn't catch the post game presser. I was just wondering if Frost said, "Sometimes I look out on the field and I say, "Hey, I forgot that Mills guy is on the team!"?" I swear Frost has no idea what he's going to call. "****, let's try the flea flicker!"

I never get the outrage over the post game press conferences. Like anything anyone says is going to make you happy after a loss.
I don’t think it’s outrage - just reflecting on comments from a perennial big mouth loser.

Glad to hear Frost own it, but it’s getting old hearing him apologize. For starters he needs to sit AMart and abolish the gawd forsaken swing pass.
His stubbornness unfortunately will probably get in the way of this.

Yes D has improved. But O and game day management and coaching hasn’t. But, but wasn’t this mainly due to Riley and culture for the first couple of seasons?
How has the defense improved? Still giving up 36 pts. a game.

It was all on him and his staff, he had no where to hide.

Frost has hung on to Martinez way too long.

Luke almost got it done, twice.

He only got a quarter of action, so I don't think you can judge him too harshly for the mistakes, but you can clearly see his potential.

Luke also has that competitive element every quarterback should have.

Seeing the look on Martinez' face, tells me he knows the confidence is lost in him.

I don't wish ill on that guy, but some of us have known Martinez has been a problem for a long time.

You have to make a change going forward and let Luke get his experience this year starting from here on out.
Martinez is 3rd in college football in YPG in his career.

Lets:

1. Find a center who can snap the ball
2. Find a true WR who can get open
3. Find a running back who can outrun a lb
4. Find a line that can pass protect for more than 3 seconds

Then get back to me on QB. "Almost getting it done is not a very good basis for an argument".

It sure is when the kid was asked to come in the 4th QTR and bail out the team and moved the offense down the field twice nearly achieving it, in spite of little playing time at QB, since 2 weeks ago it was mostly trick plays.

Martinez was ineffective moving the offense.

Martinez has had more losses than any Husker QB that I can think of.

Last year his self confidence turned into confidence problems on the whole team.

Kids transferred because of it.

Well some people are too stupid to connect the dots.

This is on Frost.

Not only a flea flicker but one that looked odd as hell from the start.

Was it just me or did Martinez look like he was pouting. Just theway he immediately loosened his helmet straps and put it up off from over his face. Doesn't stay near coach, doesn't look ready to play when on the sidelines basically reverse Luke. I mean this is basic high school discipline stuff, it's that easy to see
He was and it disgusted me.

Adrian has the talent, but not the head for a starting qb that’ll win.

Luke has the right mentality, but still not sure if he’s “the guy” either.

until we get our 3 walk on WR replaced with our young guys, both qbs will struggle, as you can’t rely on any of them, and they can focus on Robinson. Fleming showed what a real wr can look like, now let’s give them adequate snaps.

I don't get it. Adrian has completed 60% of his passes...he accounted for most of our offense, even with no one to throw to and dlineman in his face all day. Both qbs threw INTs and Luke averaged like 7 yards a completion against the prevent defense. Why choose and lose AM with nobody behind Luke? That is a recipe for a winless season.

When Luke was in we moved the ball with a mission. He was patient and found his receivers. Granted, his red zone int throw was pathetic, he gets a pass bc he hasn’t had much time as a QB. As for AMart, Frost has given him 3 years. Enough is enough. So I’m essence, with Luke there’s hope for improvement. With AMart we’re going to continue to get that losers mentality.

Our offensive line and linebackers are much improved. Our offense is so pathetic that Chins needs to save Frost and Lubick.
You mean they actually need to play defense? Which you still can't rely on them to do in key moments. That first drive they had was just terrible defense. Then we gave up a lot of 3rd and longs again today which kept them on the field. I don't think we've ever played a complete game with Chinander as our DC. Once we do, I might agree that he "saved" our offense.

WR was going to the house if Mills didn't blow the toss.

Meant to say defensive line, not offensive. And I’m with you, we came out of the locker asleep twice and they capitalized. But let’s be real, 21 points is enough for us to win. Our defense was always going to take longer to build but it hasn’t necessarily turned out that way due to our inept offense.

I don't think we were pushed around much. Our DB play has been bad both games though. Too many guys want to deliver a crushing hit instead of taking a proper angle and making a basic tackle.

Time to play the young guys there too. Farmer and company deserve their shots. We have watched Dismuke and company for a while. Imo they are all at their ceiling. How high is it?

Relatively speaking our defense is waaaay ahead of our offense. Which is closer to where you thought they would be 3 years in?…..

Id personally thank AM if for his time here and tell him to go find somewhere else to make him happy. I'd split time with LM and Smothers the rest of the year and see what we have to work with.

I'm on the LM bandwagon. I hope the kid has leadership in him and can get the team to respond. Damn I miss the Huskers up old who had some fight in them. They were losing their minds on the sidelines whenever they played poorly, and they came out the next Drive with their hair on fire.

I didnt see us get pushed around, especially on defense. DLine looked good, robinson might be our best player.
In the third quarter, one of the announcers said that northwestern's defense was owning our offensive line. I thought that was strong, but they broke through quite a few times and made tackles-for-loss or hurried the quarterback

You want at minimum 3 scholarship quarterbacks in any given year. Seems like a bad idea to rely on a young quarterback and a true freshman as your only backup.

The drop-off from Jurgens is massive. Pressure was always from the middle, not the edge.

I think the D line is improved from last year as is tackling. Have to score more than 13 points in today’s college FB. This loss is primarily on the O IMO.
